Mate I got the biggest shock of My life sitting in that beautiful place before it became the Fat Buddha. It was still the Baleka but I was on the piss with my wife and some friends when my mate who is 6ft2 built like brick shit house and looks like Ned Kelly, started singing, MATE none of us knew but the hard as nails prick has a voice like Pavarotti. Everyone froze in amazement including the staff. Will never forget it. Love the place.

🆗..true fact: never ever pay for anything in currency other than rupiah when ur in bali or anywhere in indonesia for that matter. The Indonesian government has made it illegal for any businesses that charge for goods and services in currency other than rupiah. That's just a cunning way for business owners in bali to charge their customers in dollars to gain higher profit margin. 🙄

I would like to win the prize because last time I stayed at the Beleka I had injured my knee and could not enjoy and explore the resort, shite like that happens I guess as we get older, my room was amazing though and staff fantastic and if I won I could spend that money, I saved not paying for accommodation, helping the locals in need.

i had friends stay there recently and loved it but i prefer the Baleka, its a bit closer to the good pubs... and not as many dark streets around...

Stayed there before, decent earthquake on our first night, but stumbling distance to Chapter 2 and their $4.50 cocktail happy Hour. Great place to stay.
🆗..true fact: never ever pay for anything in currency other than rupiah when ur in bali or anywhere in indonesia for that matter. The Indonesian government has made it illegal for any businesses that charge for goods and services in currency other than rupiah.
That's just a cunning way for business owners in bali to charge their customers in dollars to gain higher profit margin. 🙄

We had been looking for a couple of weeks for somewhere to stay after we land from New Zealand via Melbourne in October. This video, after alot of researching other resorts/villas has finally settled our accommodation dilemma. For the price of two Deluxe Pool Side rooms at Baleka the price is unbelievable!
Love everything about Bali and would love to catch up so we can do a donation food run will be in touch Jan/ feb
