I friggin’ love Grishuk, not only as a player but as a man. The guy is one of the funniest and humblest guys in the top tier of chess players. And he is the hell of a player
Magnus is humble by not winning every tournament.
Grischuk’s hall of shame joke was crazy😂. One of the strongest players of all time (probably top 50) and one of the most hilarious players of all time (top 10 100% maybe even top 1).

Stayed til the end and appreciate Levy talking about what really matters to him and explaining that, while fun, online speed chess isn't the kind of chess that counts. Chess is a game meant to be played face-to-face with deep calculation and thought. That's part of the game's beauty and history. I really resonated with that last thought
I don't think that's what he meant at all about the comparison of the formats. The main thought he conveyed was that speed chess wasn't directly related to his own personal goals of achieving GM status, so he isn't emphasizing his accomplishments in that realm.

This video was definitely one of the most entertaining recaps I've seen in your channel. The games were trepidant and beyond interesting, I love blitz games because the game is not as psychological as it is emotional; players dealing with their immediate chemical responses to danger and fear, while fighting to turn them into intelligent resolutions. Also, since you started commenting on your own games, Levy, I confess I've lost interest in the videos where you cover other players' games. It's just so interesting to see you breaking down your own thoughts, feelings and mental processes with such characteristical wit and charisma. Love this road to GM series
