I'm a GenX from the West and grew up with this music. This is a love letter to the West Coast and it's impact on Hip Hop. It is all shades of light and dark, complex and simple--just like all of us. I like your energy and your perception. I'm glad you turned up in my feed.
@parkermudsen1063 GNX is the car-The Buick Grand National, but sure, it's possible that GenX/GNX is another brilliant double entendre. "Omnia est a liquid (everything is something)" is on the Soul Train scramble board in the Squabble Up video.
2:09 I hear ya. I honestly believe that the base-level output of our brain is a product of its inputs. You can do work to separate yourself from your mind and gain control over the thoughts your brain generates. But you can also give it better inputs.
We are bringing our REAL CULTURE back to the forefront. They have bastardized us and made a mockery of us! Maybe we will finally fight back. Sending love to all creatives.

Hello. Enjoyed your review. Here are a couple of 2024 Hip-Hop albums I would like to recommend: Dark Times by Vince Staples Glorious by Glorilla Blue Lips by ScHoolboy Q Alligator Bites Never Heal by Doechii Please Don't Cry by Rapsody World Wide Whack by Tierra Whack Don't Forget To Breathe by Buddy Throwin Bows by Monaleo
I never understood why some pepole of a younger generation think that rap music needs to align with personal beliefs. Maybe I'm just old lol. My generation just listened, enjoyed, and took the jewels we needed without pearl-cluthcing about morality or this concern about being programmed by lyrics. Ultimately, it's art and people can feel however they feel... I get it...but damn is it *that* deep?

Now that you mention it, I wonder if the title GNX is also somehow a reference to GenX. 🤔
