What’s impressive though is that, overall, none of them glorify drug use or crime & they are not disrespectful of women in their music. Tom occasionally has violent lyrics, but they are almost always metaphors for something else. In this song, drinking & being reckless are mentioned by Tom, but throughout his part, he is either referring to his past, or referring to “white boy” stereotypes. With Adam, his gun references are, I believe, 2nd Amendment shout-outs. Tom has several songs about recovery & how hard he fought to escape addiction. He’s mindful of sharing his story to offer encouragement & to make sure people know they aren’t alone. 💗♥️💗
