- Have you ever wondered what it takes to cross the finish line of an Ironman? In this inspiring video, I share my journey to becoming an Ironman at the age of 45. I love when RUclips recommends me a hidden gem like this. Ironman seems like a very respectable challenge for me
Are you planning to race soon?
"He did a little swim. I've never drowned before, how hard can that be?" Absolutely priceless!
Yup, I was totally out of my depth and had no idea what I was getting into and that was probably a good thing, otherwise I might have quit before I even started.
I don’t usually comment on RUclips videos but mate just wanted to slap ya on the back and say congrats. That’s a bloody wholesome story and I love the mission you’ve set yourself on. Well done and keep up the good work
Appreciate you taking the time to comment and connect. The story continue's, but it's not always about the Ironman, sometimes it's just about the lessons learned and how I can apply them to the life I have made for myself.
That's a beautiful testimony. I'm training for my first ironman next October. My story is more or less like yours, I jumped into it,just because it's a huge challenge. I'm loving the training, everything has changed in so many ways. I'm 53, I'm signing up for the 70.3 and two months before the race I'll decide if I will upgrade to the full or not. Thank you for sharing your story 🏊🏻🚵♂️🏃♂️🙏
Which 70.3 are you doing? I have some video's you might find interesting like my 10 mistakes video ( ruclips.net/video/ilCwJhb8mas/видео.html ) I've been doing this for a while now and continue to enjoy the adventure. Do you have any specific questions I can answer for you?
@resilientstrategies Portugal, Cascais in October. Thank you for your answer. The biggest question I have is : have you done brick trainings ? And if so how often ? I have done swim/run only a few times, not the full swim bike run yet due to the fact that I haven't bought the bike yet, which I will in a month or two. In the brick training, do you usually go for the whole 3 ,or swim/bike, bike/run ? What distances do you usually do? If we're talking about the 70.3. Thank you again 🙏
That video was excellent, it was motivating. Great job, man and congratulations.
Glad my story inspired you! The story continues so please consider subscribing to see what the next stage of the journey looks like. I'm signing up for either a half or full Ironman this year depending on the number of new subscribers I get tot the channel. I will be vlogging about the experience every week so hopefully my continuing journey will continue to inspire. Thanks for leaving the comment!
Congratulations and thank you for sharing. Brilliant !!!! God bless
Thank you. It's always fun to share the starting point of my journey and hopefully it inspires others to push through adversity to reach higher goals.
Awesome video man🙏💪
Glad you enjoyed the start of my story. To be continued...
