10:47 - Did she forget about PapayaMobile? The chinese platform with growing population over 25m, available on Android and iOS phones in the western markets already. Also does she not consider GREE, the other japanese mobile gaming giant launching its own social platform worldwide in 2012, as competition? Overall, good interview.
The reality in Japanese Entrepreneurs is that they are not truly like that. After being super consultants or getting an MBA, they are very versed with how business should be done and how a venture should develop. Such knowledge and skill will be obstacle to real innovation. We need to change education system and hiring system so that really innovative people can take the risk for their ideas. We need AGAF not DENA.
@Jonathanmarks Zynga is going down the drain and is late to A LOT of new alternatives that it needs to make more money, on it's own away from FB. I get that they had to establish themselves first, but when it comes to this kind of business, just adding "ville" to everything and milking a cow, will get old fast enough to start hurting your profit margins. And their new platform that they're building is taking way too long to roll out when it comes to getting a new product out.
Talk about a culture shock, the interviewer hadn’t done his homework. 南場-san is such an amazing and humble person!
