South Kandarin gets an advantage because everyone over level 30 has the Ardougne cape and teleport. Nobody will get lost and nobody is unfamiliar. I do like the idea of the boss being easily accessible to everyone, all running west from the monastery. There is something appealing about all the fighters geared differently, from Tbows to addy scimitars - the other side of the Battlefield is probably best - even better, Castle Wars is another great and easy rallying point. Actually, it's a bit busy round there. What about that unused bit between Death Plateau and the Golden Apple Tree?
South Kandarin would definitely have a crazy mix of players, would be cool to see. Realistically because troll country has so many mountains and unwalkable areas, I don't think it would be the end of the world to use the area such as that. Maybe even make a bigger "arena"-sized area, similar to where you fight that troll (Dad?) on the way to Edgar on Trollheim
