    There are tons of videos out there, but this guy's videos are simply the BEST of all! very informative in substance and qualities. I look forward to seeing future videos in many different Cites, attraction small town (attractions) and beaches through the Great State of Florida and beyond. I heard the City of Punta Gorda waterfront is awesome. BOating in Florida is one of my hobbies. Great job as always.

If you've lived in Tampa before the growth you know you would have never thought it would be what it is today. I normally do not leave any comments but in this case I just have to! We moved from Germany to Tampa Bay in 2013 and spent 6 years there. Beginning of last year we moved to your Bay Area in California because of a job. Even tho the scenery is beautiful here and Cali got lots to offer I still miss Florida especially in winter time. My plan is moving back to Tampa Bay before winter starts, will see. I was always annoyed commuting on I275 from Wesley Chapel to Pinellas County because of traffic but guys it is still not as bad as San Francisco Bay Area. Cost of living here is just nuts. I hope to call Tampa home again by next year.

      At least the downtown is becoming more walkable. You should also be able to take a train from the airport to downtown. With light rail or any passenger railways you have to start small: follow the demand and don’t build where the demand isn’t. It does drive up property values though. Eventually when the whole city looks nicer and newer though that alone will hike it, especially with the steel-framed modern luxury development. Also nice seeing bike paths, notably along the waterways.

    Born and raised here. Traffic is not that bad especially if you’ know the roads and pay attention to cut throughs and which route to take. Tampa is a great city and I’ve watched them really improve it over the years. When I was growing up Tampa was a lot more dangerous/unkempt. Now you see more folks taking pride in the city and the Tampa Bay Area really is a great place to call home. The job market is highly competitive but housing is very affordable. You don’t need to make as much money here as you do in bigger cities.

      Apologies again in advance for the long post… For those interested in finding out more about Tampa, here’s some quick information (below) you may find useful (including quality of life, cost of living, housing affordability, jobs, economy, crime, retirement haven, things to do, why it’s considered an attractive destination, etc.). Much of my comments below are pre-pandemic, though; hopefully, we’ll all return back to more of a normal very soon - much the way things were before this pandemic began.
      I am biased, but I actually think Tampa and the metro Tampa Bay area IS the best place to live in the entire U.S. We have it all-just about everything that is needed for a great life: beautiful scenery; fast-growing economy; and currently undergoing mega revitalization (including the Tampa Bay Lightning owner [Jeff Vinik] and Bill Gates-backed $3.5 billion Water Street development project in downtown Tampa, which will double the current size of our downtown). We have fairly good weather year-round (Tampa is tied with San Diego as the best hot-weather city in the U.S. [Pew Research Center]). We have great beaches (including Clearwater Beach, which was the #1-ranked “Best Beach in America” [Trip Advisor, 2019, 2018, and 2016]; Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota, which was also the #1-ranked “Best Beach in America” [Trip Advisor, 2020, 2017, and 2015]; and St. Pete Beach: again, the #1 “Best Beach in America” [Trip Advisor, 2012, #2 in 2020, #4 in 2019, #3 in 2017, #4 in 2016], #5 “Beach Destination in

      @diane6215 4 года назад

      the World” [Trip Advisor, 2012], and #2 “Beach Getaway” [Travel & Leisure - America’s Favorite Cities, 2014]). Tampa also has a fairly low crime rate (#2-lowest crime rate among the top major cities in the nation [city-data.com, 2016, as reported by the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council on February 22, 2019], #3-lowest crime rate among large U.S. cities - America’s Best Large Cities [bestcities.org, June 2018]-the crime rate in Tampa has dropped 71% since 2003); fairly affordable housing and affordable cost of living in comparison with other large cities-prices are rising fast, though, as more people from New York, California, and other places move in. Tampa is also one of the best places to retire in the U.S. (#1 “Best Places to Retire” - based on a list ranking the 150 largest U.S. cities (WalletHub, 2014 & 2015, and #2 in 2017 & 2019); a hospitable city/clean city/green city (Airbnb’s “Most Hospitable City, 2013, and the #1 “Green Density City in the World” (Treepedia, 2018/2019). We also have diverse hip/trendy and well-established/historical neighborhoods (including historic Ybor City in Tampa, which is one of only four National Historic Landmark Districts in Florida); world-class architecture (including several buildings in Ybor City, as well as the largest concentration of Frank Lloyd Wright-designed structures anywhere in the world at Florida Southern College in Lakeland). Tampa also has great educational facilities (#2 “Best College Towns & Cities in America (Large City)” and #4 “Best College Towns & Cities in America (Overall City)” (WalletHub, December 2019); and is a gateway to the Florida High Tech Corridor-with lots of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), as well as health/education/hospitality jobs available (pre-pandemic)-and Hillsborough County (where Tampa is located) is also the #1 county out of all 67 counties in Florida with the highest average annual salary ($54,278), in 2018 and again in 2019 (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages, as reported by the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council, January 2020). Also, Tampa has lots of cultural diversity-it’s a cultural melting pot-and the most pro-equality city in Florida (Human Rights Campaign), with a multicultural workforce from more than 130 nations/nationalities. Tampa has great medical facilities (Tampa General Hospital is one of the best and most comprehensive hospitals in the U.S. (U.S. News & World Report, Best Hospitals, 2017-2018), and #2 (out of 250) best hospitals in Florida (U.S. News & World Report, Best Regional Hospitals, 2017-2018). We have lots of arts/museums/entertainment (including the Salvador Dalí Museum located in St. Petersburg’s scenic downtown waterfront, which is acclaimed as one of the world’s great museum and one of the “Most Beautiful Museums in the World” [Condé Nast Traveler, 2016]); also, the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art (of the Ringling Bros. circus fame)-which was established in Sarasota in 1927, and which is now the official state art museum for Florida, with 21 galleries of 16th- to 20th-century European paintings, including a world-renowned collection of Peter Paul Rubens paintings. We have lots of great restaurants/dining establishments; great shopping destinations; jampacked with festivals and events happening every day; great hip/trendy as well as traditional/historic hotels (including the Gatsbyesque Don CeSar “Pink Palace” Hotel in St. Petersburg, which was opened in 1928, and was a favorite of F. Scott Fitzgerald); a budding film industry/“Hollywood South,” as well as “Hallywood South” (Hallmark Channel movies); and lots of outdoor fun activities to enjoy year-round. Basically, there is no shortage of things to see and do here in Tampa Bay.
