This build video was my inspiration to go ahead and buy a Traxxas. I’m definitely Jackhammering it! Starting with a new Sledge slider. All of Traxxas’s gears and bulkheads go bye bye First! Thanks for the video and shout out to M2C. Killer Kit!
All Hail M2C JACKHAMMR!! The Sledge is one Hella truck and M2C is taking it even further in an XL form! I'm a huge XL Fun and this is gonna be one EPIC truck to drive. Awesome job brother. Can't wait to run this beast.
Awesome stuff Brother David 😱. Really cool overview, breakdown, and test rip!!! Such a well thought out conversion. Loving the alloy body mounts 😍. Those suckers are there to stay. Cant wait to get mine out soon too. 🍻😎💪👊👊
If Max5s, suitable motors, and 8s don’t become an aspirational standard for this, I’ll eat my daughter’s hat. On the downside, the full cost of this upgrade will be at around half the price of a new sledge, and likely $100 more. Then the new ESC and motor cost a lot. Anyway, looking forward to the expectedly completely crazy videos of this when it’s our bashing!
can you make a video how to take out wheel slop on the sledge mine has so much I cant find a way to fix it the screws on the hubs are always backing out
wow this is such a nice setup. I really enjoy the sledge. I do think I like it over my kraton exb build. Both have a ton of m2c stuff. Thanks for the video. Well done. I am probably going to build one soon.
Curious why you went with the standard traxass motor forward way. I know you said you are swapping to the Castle, I'm guessing it is because thats the direction it already was from the original rig and no need to swap it when your going to be redoing it soon anyway? I love all the options out for us these days, makes custom tuning a basher sort of a thing lol
I like the motor in the forward position. I think it gives this car. It’s own unique handling and control so I wanted to keep that part original to Traxxas design.
No, I haven’t figured out any springs yet, but I also have to re-change my front shock tower because that might be part of the problem. I accidentally have the wrong one.
@@BarstoneRC ohhh ok see how that goes👍👍👍 I think traxxas has a stiffer rate spring available.. wish someone would come up with a stiffer high quality bash spring for all bashers I’ve got several needing this upgrade… I know there are some but progressive springs are not my favorite… thanks anyway 👍👍👍
It is a longer chassis I would have to look at the car again, but the tower to tower brace also needs changed out and I believe the rear driveshaft because it’s longer M2C racing makes the conversion kit with the pieces you need
@@BarstoneRC yes ive seen...thanks for the fast Response, so much to know, im fixed...what about the body, the jackhammr kit has the shock Towers were the nose from the body goes in, but its longer so i have to use an other body and will it fit with the nose? If yes than the kit what comes onto the body must be longer. I wondering your Towers are closed, that makes sense, the body kit with the nose would not fit or they have a longer kit for the body....sory, kit for the body, you know what i mean im german, can not follow everything you tell, but is ok.
@@BarstoneRC and you use the old System on the body with the nose infront? Your shock Towers are closed, jackhammer kit is tower open, for the nose, you know...i sure will get the carbon Towers, ex basherqueen
@marc1981er I think they made a set of towers to use the stock body, but I did not use them. I went with an aftermarket body and yes, I use the stock system.
Finally got the Sledge i think the day after u put this video out and i really love it! Did u do the silicone ear plugs in the center diff of the sledge and what kinda setup would i have to throw in this beast for it to pull off sitting backflips do ya think?
I was going to say something didn’t look quite right there with the shock position on the front then when you ran it I immediately thought it handled terrible .

Thank you I can’t wait to take it out there first first proper test
@@BarstoneRC yea I can’t wait too see it flying like a drone 😂💪🏻🛻
Dang, I literally just bought an m2c chassis last week. Wish they would have announced they were working on this. I would have waited.
This is just come in the testing phase. It will still be a little bit before this is released.

Hahahaha I have a feeling there’s going to be some crazy things put together with his car
oh I can't wait to get this I have 2 Sledges now so one long one will be awesome
Yeah, I think this is gonna be a great platform for people that want to change up from stock
Can't wait to see the new Jackhammr fly! Dueling XL videos coming soon!!😂👍🤙
Can’t wait to make this thing fly!

Indeed
Came out nice that Beast got a lot of power😳
I’m amazed how much power this motor has got for the size of it?
Absolutely beautiful!!!!!!❤❤❤
Thank you! Cheers!
Awesome build bro!!!👍✊
Thanks buddy
Well that didn’t take long to get a video out 🤩 It looks amazing!
Lol a couple cans of Red Bull and I can do anything
Looks amazing!
Awesome build!!
Thanks!
Thank you very much my friend I appreciate it
damnit, now I'm going to blow a bunch more on the Sledge. At least I can honestly tell my wife I didn't buy another car...
There you go see it’s a win-win lol
Great video man gonna be awesome
Thank you Mike I appreciate it buddy

Curious to see this go
Me too!

I really think this is going to be a great platform, and I wanted to keep it in the original fashion with the motor in the front

👍😎💯
Which driveshaft do you use to convert the Kraton to an XL? Is it the rear shaft of a Mojave?
Yeah. It gets replaced
Any ideas for stiffer springs?? Any links???

Once I get my other shock tower on there and test out the springs, I’ll definitely update everyone
Nice🤙🏽
This chassis mite change my mind
I was gonna get a fireteam
I think this thing is going to be awesome
We're your screws for your center braces long enough
Yeah, everything seem normal
Mine won't go all the way through
To short
Is this chassis longer than the stock?
What about the old parts, do they work or must there be new? Its traxxas sledge
What new parts have to be?
It is a longer chassis I would have to look at the car again, but the tower to tower brace also needs changed out and I believe the rear driveshaft because it’s longer M2C racing makes the conversion kit with the pieces you need

@marc1981er yeah, the stock body with my set up does not work. I put a basher body on mine with the. ARRMA body posts on the shock towers.

What’s the length difference
2.3 inches longer
When will this be available to buy?
Right after the Fourth of July

I did put the earplugs in the center and if you put the hobby wing max five with the 1650 motor, she’ll have plenty of power

No problem bud. I hope it was helpful if you ever have any other questions, feel free to ask.
Front end is definitely to soft
Yeah, it’s not tuned yet. And turns out I have the wrong shock tower on the front.

You interested in selling ur m2c chassis since u made urs into an XL?
No not as of right now
