Great techniques. Golden iridescent bronze fine is my absolute favourite gold paint. Shame it costs an arm and a leg! I have used it to great effect on the gel plate. For moulding paste I use Polyfila One Fill (joint compound in the USA) - a fine-grained ready-mix filler for cracks in walls! It is super-cheap compared with art supplies and takes paints and inks really well.
I HAVE THIS PAINT!! I have NEVER SEEN THIS technique! *** DID I SEE THIS PAINT TURN TEAL/GREEN as a PATINA??? *** I'm not sure what I'm looking at for sure. I bought this paint cuz everyone said you HAVE to have THIS paint for gel printing because its so great!!! I looked for it and it was very expensive!! So I had to save up to buy it. I just started gel printing last week. (Its VERY addicting!! I LOVE it!! ) But I've never heard anything about it turning to a PATINA!!! Or diluting it so much with water! I will DEFINITELY try this technique! I'm going to be very BUSY trying all your techniques I saw today!!! CRAZY!! TFS. Austin TX USA
It separates quickly. The most challenging part is to keep it flat and don't mess with it until it dries. Your drying time will vary depending on temp and surface.
It’s been awhile and only slightly green in a couple of areas. I think I must have gone wrong somewhere. I used diluted Golden’s Iridescent Bronze (Fine) and a generic modeling paste on my painted board. Could it be the modeling paste?
If you want the paint to separate and create the green patina it needs to be very wet. If you want the bronze to stay as it is in the tube, then yes you would use a dry brush.
Love watching you experiment. Chemistry and art at play. Thank you so much for sharing.
You are welcome and yes I like to think it is science having fun.
Always learn something new from each technique video you post
Wonderful and thank you.
Beautiful textures and efects! Thanks
You're welcome 😊

You did see the paint separate. It must be very diluted and let it sit for a few minutes.
Let me know how it works for gel printing.
@SandraDuranWilson Its great on gel plate.
@@SandraDuranWilson yes. Thanks
Great opening! Hope you are well.... I have been doing a lot more art, yay! Miss u
Miss you too. I was just thinking about you. Hugs.
Great video.
Thanks Janetta. Happy New Year.
Awesome thanks 😊!!
You're welcome.
Love this technique! How long does it take to dry? Yours seems to have turned green instantly.

@@christinaleman-hamlin6596 yes. I put it over dry molding paste. It won't work the same with wet paste, but you may get something interesting.
@@SandraDuranWilson The modeling paste was dry…
Mmm, not sure then. Has the paint dried yet?
I think this technique works best with a dry brush

What kind of board are you using.
It is a Gessobord from Ampersand.
