cool stuff! you've got a perfect amount of space there to grow watermelons, winter squash, etc. in those beds and let them just sprawl out into that big dirt area, if you wanted they would take over that whole space but you could also just trim them back. I wouldn't worry about watering the leaves of those types of plants too much.
