I think this youtuber is only interested in taking "exotic poverty" videos and uploading them here to boost his views and subscriptions and to satisfy people's curiosity., instead of helping the mother and the boy.
The poor mother and her child are stil struggling to stay alive and starving in their clay house.
Political system of the country is obviously the key need to improve the lives of struggling families like this. However, they still have to survive and some personal help is always a good thing.
There are hundreds of thousands of people like this in Sri Lanka who are unaware of the fact that their poverty is a result of corrupt and badly organized political system. Some basic help to improve their lives is a humane thing but also an essential smart thing to do because when they survive and ultimately thrive in their environment, it is good for the whole country. A better political system can put a good foundation for the long term, but right now they need to survive.
We can gradually improve their political literacy, so they will learn not to vote for criminals and bums to the parliament.
