First day on a new really good job, the trainer shows me which fridge to put the delicious lunch my wife made for me in. Of course 5 hours later I go to eat and my food is gone !!! So about a week later I bought the cheapest can of dog food they had, I made 2 delicious sandwiches and put them in a bag with a fake name written on it. Sure enough I went back later and it was gone, LOL I like to think one of those dirtbags ate the whole lunch.
Missed Mrs Wolfe Pitt!!!it’s funny for me to say that after a long crappy work week I can relax and enjoy your RUclips videos-I have binge watched before lol. Love y’all!
Never seen the Hormel Chili variant but just from the ingredient list, I knew it was a winner. Hormel canned chili is not great chili but it's not bad either, and more importantly, I know exactly what to expect from it. I grew up eating it. I know what is. No issue eating it. And this lunch option hits all the check boxes, except sodium. Good job, Hormel.
Missed ya Mrs.Woffe Pitt, great to see you back 👋 these videos are always something to watch, relatable and easy to find food and the facts we want! great to watch at lunch or when I cant figure out what else to watch
I always bought these for my lunch at work. cheap easy and mess free for the most part, might not be as good as something you fixed at home or all that heathy for you, but I lived so they did the job for me. I can remember them going on sale back in the day 10 for $10 so for 20 dollar they covered my lunches for the month. I retired a few years back and I don't think I've had one sense and have no desire to ever eat one again. glad we have you do it for the people😁
I use to work in a kitchen for a company where we would server breakfast and lunch. In between the rush we got 30 minutes to for our lunch and we would make a sandwich or a entree and go in the back. This one guy would only eat these. Every single day a compleats meal. I asked him we have free food but he would look at me and say I would not eat anything we serve. Thought that it was an odd thing to say as the food was not bad nor some highly process trash. Anytime I see these I always think they must have a five star taste, but I never ate one as I know it would ruin the illusion.
I worked for Olive Garden 5-years around the year 2008. Our food & safety practices were top-notch. Nevertheless, a waitress was eating Chef Boyardee one day! I said to someone who had just graduated from chef school, What the Hell, she's eating that at an Italian Restaurant? The response was an enthusiastic, "It's the Chef, man. the Chef"!
These can be hit or miss, mostly for flavor and being bland/dry (my go to was the turkey and dressing), but overall they aren't bad and can be a little meal. I haven't had these in 4 or so years so they have probably changed some stuff up. Back then they had 5 maybe 6 kinds. I'll keep a eye out and get a couple I haven't tried before.
I buy these and keep them in my desk. I’m a teacher. My favorite is chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, roast beef with gravy, Salisbury steak, & turkey & stuffing.
I always love your videos! And I really do appreciate and thank you for the time and effort you put in, to making these great videos! Keep makin' 'em, I'll keep watchin' 'em. Semper-Fi and Carry-On! 👍

Yeah, please, no more scooter. On another note, these inexpensive Hormel meals have been a staple of mine at work for some years now. I certainly can't eat them every day due the sodium content. But in a pinch, I always keep a supply in my locker.
Or an insolated lunch box... It's not a new idea. I did it for just over 20 years. Never had my food go bad, never had it stolen, never had to buy expensive meals that didn't taste good.

The salisbury steak meal however looked really good as well as the mac and cheese, if I had to buy another compl-eat meal, it'd be one of those. Been a few years since tuning into one of these, hope you and Mrs. Wolfe Pit are doing well!
I used to work an assembly line job. We didn't get a 30 minute or 1 hr. lunch period, we got 2-20 minute breaks. We also had no fridge but we had some microwaves. I would throw 2 of these in my locker most days. The 60 second cook time was the best feature.
I used to eat these when I was still working and at under a buck and a half back then they were a good deal and gave me a decent lunch. I would buy enough for the week and keep them in my desk at work. Good to see Mrs. Wolfe back again.
Love the Compleats. When I was working from an office and not from home I would go by our local Food Maxx cause they almost always had these on sale for $1-$1.50 and I would stock up on 2-3 weeks worth to lock in my desk at work. Not only because it made for a good quick meal but also because of the things mentioned in your video because half the time my homemade lunch would get stolen out of our fridge and I hated being stuck without something to eat. Also used them to help out co-workers who may have had the same thing happen to them as well.

Honestly, I very much dislike the Scooter impression in these videos. It's very annoying, and not in a funny "hey, yo, just listen to that dumb hillbilly" way, but actually *annoying* annoying. It would be best to have remarks made in normal voice, like "some people may say that / someone may think that " and stating your opinion on that contradiction.
Agree 1000%. The voice is just annoying and every time it started it was actually jarring. I really enjoy watching the reviews on this channel but may have to stop if “Scooter” is going to make a regular appearance.
I literally lived on these things and canned meats when I worked in Highway Traffic Control. Easy to put in your suitcase and easy to prep in your motel.
very cool...I've had them a few times, but not recently. last night I did my didn't want to cook and didn't want left overs and so plopped a can of hormel chilli with beans in the center of a plate of tortila chips and then covered it with a half bag of cheese...probably mexican, but could have been just cheddar. nuked it for a couple of minutes and it was great. love your reviews
The kiddo keeps a couple of these kind of meals in his locker at work in case he forgets his lunch. He likes the Dirty Moore one the best. He's not crazy about any of them but he says he's a lot less crazy about the price of fast food meals. I'll tell him about the 8/10 for a Salisbury steak one. "Gravy can make a turd taste great." LOL.
ok so if its his wifes fingernails and hands in this video how is it that he is explaining the taste of the bite of food? is she feeding him? I feel like i am missing something 😂
I agree with all of your findings here except I do like the macNcheese, my complaint is the "meals" are too small, I need at least 2 but thats still not a bad price for a meal.. I do like to combine the chili and macNcheese.. For hormels canned chili I add dehydrated beef and or tvp to bulk it up and reduce the soupiness or add instant macNcheese noodles before zapping
the compleats mac and cheese has always been a comfort food of mine. I am guilty of grabbing a couple in the grocery store often! And eating them in my car on my lunch break 🤣
I make a sandwich at home just the way I want it along with a small bottle of milk filled from my home gallon and pack it in the smallest Playmate Cooler and put a small refreezable cooler pack on top. It fits perfectly under my desk. Sometimes I also add a dry packet of Instant chicken noodle soup and add water and heat it in my coffee cup in the office microwave. Not only do I get healthy fresh food made the way I like it, but it also only costs me a dollar or two each day.
The chicken breast meat with mashie and gravy isnt too bad either. While the mashies are obviously instant, they're still better than any in a frozen meal.
I love this menu item from Hormel. They went away during the China Flu nightmare supply chain fiasco. I snapped up a case of the Salisbury menu item after they finally came back into my grocery store. Thanks for the review kind sir. BIG FAN!!!
Grandma's Classics. Intoducing a new take on those old classics: Chewy Chicken, Boiled Beef and Pan Parched Pork Chops. All with a side of Britain's favourite: Mushy Peas. Served with a healthy heap of Pasty Potatoes and smothered in a generous dollop of Grandma's Greasy Gravy. Get some today, while the gettings good.
Not my first choice, but these meals do taste ok. No complaints. Usually I just buy the beef stew version of this meal. I used to keep to big cans of the Campbell's soup in the bottom of my horrible freight roll around toolbox when I was working at an MRO (FAA aviation repair station) if I forgot my lunch.
It hasn’t happened at my workplace as far as I know, I have never understood how someone would take someone else’s lunch and eat it. That is just freaking weird.

He's not crazy about any of them but he says he's a lot less crazy about the price of fast food meals. I'll tell him about the 8/10 for a Salisbury steak one. "Gravy can make a turd taste great." LOL.
Long time fan love this channel 🤩 thanks for taking the bullet to the gut so we the people don't have too😂😂😂
the roast beef and mashed potatoes with gravy is the bomb
I was a big fan of the Chicken Alfredo. I bought it in bulk and had it for days.
Kudos to Mrs. Wolfe Pitt too! We don't have Hormel up here where I live in Chinada... only shelf stable lunches are the canned tuna ones.... meh...
Well, thank goodness you clarified that those were Mrs. Wolf Pit's fingernails!
At first, I thought you may have had a few too many Bud Lights 😏
ok so if its his wifes fingernails and hands in this video how is it that he is explaining the taste of the bite of food? is she feeding him? I feel like i am missing something 😂
I agree with all of your findings here except I do like the macNcheese, my complaint is the "meals" are too small, I need at least 2 but thats still not a bad price for a meal.. I do like to combine the chili and macNcheese.. For hormels canned chili I add dehydrated beef and or tvp to bulk it up and reduce the soupiness or add instant macNcheese noodles before zapping
Yay mrs wolfpit is back missed you thank you Larry for sharing 😊
love you, mrs. wolfe pit.
you never fail to blow my mind
the compleats mac and cheese has always been a comfort food of mine.

I love these!
i like the videos but the scooter bits are kinda annoying, could remove them and wouldnt lose anything or just use a regular tone
I have a Duluth lunch bag since the 2017 hurricane. I keep a hard cooler shock pack in the insulated bottom and then a 2 liter and food.
Good video , thanks for sharing , God bless !
It hasn’t happened at my workplace as far as I know, I have never understood how someone would take someone else’s lunch and eat it. That is just freaking weird.
