- Aria Pro II continues to impress me with their Detroit line of basses. This Aria Pro II 313-JP Detroit pays homage to the great Jaco Pastorius, while also giving you a beautiful fretless bass with Aria's own signature features. Retailing at $509, does this bass live up to the price point and to the legacy it honors?? Find out in this video. More info...

Wow 😯 just wow 🤩 bro! It sounds great! I can’t get over the finish! What a beautiful instrument! Looks very high quality! 👍
Love your playing as well 🙏✌️☮️
You are too kind, my bro!! Yeah, I’ve been really impressed with this bass. I LOVE to play it. I knew I’d probably like it, but I had no idea how MUCH.
Very tasteful jam in the intro.
Thank you!
Aria need to get a Canadian distributor
Rumblin Man! Brother, awesome review, with very concise and informative content. And great playing. God Bless you, Brother. 🤘🎸🎸🤘
God bless you too man!! Thanks so much for the kind words.
Dear Daniel - thank you so much for this video! It actually convinced me to get this instrument and I am hoping to soon test it at church. :) I'd have a request for you if I may. I notice that Aria also has a 313-DR -Detroit model. I have been wondering how this instrument compares to Squire and Fender P basses. Would you consider creating a video comparing these models? It would help me determine what to go for if one day I would like to consider a non-fretless bass as I currently do not have one. Many thanks for all that you do!
Thanks very much for this feedback. If I have a chance to do a comparison with the 313, I’d be glad to. I hope you enjoy this bass! I am not a big fretless player, but I love it. Currently have La Bella’s flats on it. God bless!
Dear Daniel, I have re-watched your re-view after having used this instrument for several months (also live at church). Anyway, I have been thinking about replacing the stock pickups. Hearing you also mention this in the review, I wonder what pickups you would recommend. I just want to get the most of this instrument so pickup price is not really an issue. Been thinking about Fralin or Fender but as I have no experience in pickups, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Certainly seems like a very versatile instrument.
I bought a srf700 for playing mostly metal but I refunded it because it had some defects. I know it is double the price of this bass but what do you think about buying this instead of the srf700 for metal? I feel like this could give some good mwuah tones for metal.
👍🎸💪
i was led to believe round-wounds on a fretless was a no-no, due to them digging up the fretboard ?
They definitely can ding up a fretboard, but it takes a while.
Jaco pastorious used rounds that he lubricated with chicken fat... Now people boil oily strings, lol
