In the span of 10 issues (44-53) Stan and Jack created The Inhumans , Silver Surfer , Galactus and the Black Panther . And "This Man This Monster" in issue 51 is considered by many to be the best single issue of a comic . In other words , that's a heck of an Epic Collection you just reviewed .(Even if it stopped just before The Black Panther Story )
It’s actually a bit crazy how much dialog Stan put in the early Marvels... just tons of it. Issues 48 to 50 with Silver Surfer and Galactus were amazing conceptually as well as from a production standpoint. It’s debatably the best multi-issue story arc of the Silver Age.

Yeah it's amazing how the book picked up at that point. Just instantly dialed it up to 11. I still liked the volumes 3-4 of Thor better though.
It is pretty wonderful how much the start still holds up to this day.
New stuff doesn't hold a candle to this.

Yeah yiou can skim over most of it!
the end of this volume is the peak of kirby/lee FF, still good stories after this but not as high. the lows aren't as low either
