You really should think of making Canada your destination the next time you come across the Atlantic. As a Japanese American who wasn't spoken to in Japanese growing up because my mom (3rd gen Japanese American) doesn't speak it, please, go ahead and speak Irish to your kid, at least some of the time. Having even a tiny bit of experience with it from a young age makes a HUGEEEE difference if they ever want to learn when they're older. Of course, assuming Alex is ok with it. Also, studies have shown that multi-lingual kids tend to be more successful in school :P

I used to perform locally, so I get the whole friend thing, starting fresh and all when they have preconceived notions about you anyway. There was a young man who kind of fan boyed on me, when I introduced myself, him being an incredible talent himself. He said he remembered who I was from "back in the day." I smiled and said thank you, how kind when I really wanted to snatch the scraggly boy beard off his chin. Now a few years later, we are outside circle friends, with admiration for each other.

I publish kids books and its a pain in the ass every time - ESPECIALLY if you're including images. Best bet is to use the in house software, or go via Microsoft word and pre-size your pages before you even start. I travel back roads all the time. It happens when you live in a small Southern area, and they aren't for the faint of heart, especially during deer season.
It can be bad. Especially winding two lane mountain roads with no guard rail on one side and a wall of mountain on the other. I've only ever driven sedans, but it still felt like I was taking up a lane and a half. I can't imagine how you get 2 trucks passing each other.
I studied abroad at the University of Limerick about 10 years ago and I took Irish while I was there, any suggestions to videos or websites that will help me keep up with Irish because I feel like I'm forgetting it? :(

In America, large cars are status symbols. Large cars say how much money the driver can pay for a car and the gas (petrol). it takes to run it. Driving these big "gas-guzzlers," adding to the pollution and the country's dependency on foreign oil, shows that the driver is aloof to the concerns of the "common" people.
As a fan of your channel AND an American, I totally understand your reaction when asked about your views on the three mentioned topics on American politics and current events. I get it. It's how a lot of us feel, at least initially. Unfortunately, we as Americans- if we are to do the responsible thing and look into the matters so we are better prepared on how to vote- are faced with pushing through that "Aahhhhh" and examining the issues and how those issues affect human beings. I know that you mostly avoid discussing politics, but I too would like to hear an honest, truly unbiased commentary on what you (as and Irishman, a woman, and a comedian, and a human being) think about the three specifically mentioned in this video. They are incredibly important issues here, for obvious reasons, but it would be truly fascinating- and possibly funny, or insightful, or angry, or a mix of whatever you'd want it to be in the end. Please consider doing this. Would it be a risk? YES. But it is worthy of putting out there, do people want it, and do you think growth can come from it? I think so. Please consider it, Claire. It's stuff that's definitely weighing heavy on a lot of American's hearts and minds right now, and hearing from someone outside the country without the biases we are inundated with on a day in and day out basis would be refreshing. Hope you chose to do it. The election is now less than a month away.

In America, large cars are status symbols. Large cars say how much money the driver can pay for a car and the gas (petrol). it takes to run it. Driving these big "gas-guzzlers," adding to the pollution and the country's dependency on foreign oil, shows that the driver is aloof to the concerns of the "common" people.

As a fan of your channel AND an American, I totally understand your reaction when asked about your views on the three mentioned topics on American politics and current events. I get it. It's how a lot of us feel, at least initially. Unfortunately, we as Americans- if we are to do the responsible thing and look into the matters so we are better prepared on how to vote- are faced with pushing through that "Aahhhhh" and examining the issues and how those issues affect human beings. I know that you mostly avoid discussing politics, but I too would like to hear an honest, truly unbiased commentary on what you (as and Irishman, a woman, and a comedian, and a human being) think about the three specifically mentioned in this video. They are incredibly important issues here, for obvious reasons, but it would be truly fascinating- and possibly funny, or insightful, or angry, or a mix of whatever you'd want it to be in the end. Please consider doing this. Would it be a risk? YES. But it is worthy of putting out there, do people want it, and do you think growth can come from it? I think so. Please consider it, Claire. It's stuff that's definitely weighing heavy on a lot of American's hearts and minds right now, and hearing from someone outside the country without the biases we are inundated with on a day in and day out basis would be refreshing.
