i will never relate to that stuff he made up about the meaning of Krishna and Hare. It was a kind of simple thing to throw at the people totally new to it and it is a huge dis-service to any one seriously devoted. Krishna means dark or impenetrable as in impossible to understand - he is the mystery and cannot be fully known by beings. Hare is the personality which is married to the personality of Krishna. The personalities are there to worship for the the human personalities. Through the active ritual of devotion the humans are transformed and purified. At the core we are the Self resting in the Self never separate from Krishna or Radhe (also synonymous with Hare). Hare Krishna and Hare Rama are the same thing ... just changed male name Krishna to Rama to relate to the puranas ( stories). Rama is equivalent to Krishna. Heck you can replace Krishna with Christ or Allah or Pacha Mama but none of the religions associated with those names teach what the Gita teaches so we focus on Krishna to get the highest teaching and the best wisdom. It is no accident that humans are enmemshed in illusion. Krishna made it so. Krishna is making it so. Only Krishna acts or perceives no one else. Krishna is the creative which is inseparable from you. The issue people run into is identifying the creation with the human mind. Human mind does not create - human mind is a product of creation. Human performs bhakti to understand this. Otherwise you do not 'need' anything just like God or Krishna does not desire for anything - neither food nor entertainment. This whole world is made for its own sake by itself for the fun of it :)
