I don't think a very large percentage of the population is truly evil. I don't think I can do that with the police anymore. Even if police officers, as individuals, have some good qualities, the reality of the situation is that the so-called good ones accepted the job of serving and protecting, yet they allow the truly evil among them to use their position as police officers to harm the innocent. There is nothing morally wrong with being that weak, until you accept the responsibility of protecting those who are unable to protect themselves, then you're equally as bad as the one actually perpetrating crimes against the innocent. I don't know every cop, or every police department in America, but I know a lot, and none of them are good. This story might as well be about someone stepping on a cockroach.
