I have always been able to wrap a cylinder by pleating but your technique of beginning by folding in the side and then being able to tuck in the end without tape takes it to a new level. This will be my new go to way to wrap cylinders. Thank you for sharing!

Great! Fifty years ago as a teenager I wrapped presents at my dad’s camera store. We never used tape either, only sealing wax.
Doing the counter clockwise is easier if you are right handed.
