Luther said, I believe that I cannot by my own reason or strength believe in Jesus Christ, my Lord, or come to Him; but the Holy Spirit has called me by the Gospel, enlightened me with His gifts, sanctified and kept me in the true faith. In the same way He calls, gathers, enlightens, and sanctifies the whole Christian church on earth, and keeps it with Jesus Christ in the one true faith. In this Christian church, He daily and richly forgives all my sins and the sins of all believers. On the Last Day, He will raise me and all the dead, and give eternal life to me and all believers in Christ. This is most certainly true.
That's what happened to my niece, she called me from California,(I'm in Texas,) and said auntie I want to go to a church like yours, and she got baptized about a month later, and is serving God now,and she thanks me🤷but it wasn't me,the Holy Spirit of God was working in her already, but we did find her a great church with Pastor Pounds in Hesperia California 🙆🙏🙏🙏🙌😇👑🕊️
He’s speaking more of mercy on the first part-i.e., mercy in protection. Grace always refers to God's disposition to sinners in saving them by himself for himself. Unfortunately, many times the definition of grace is infused grace, a Roman Catholic doctrine. The biblical definition of grace is imputed grace. Extra Nos. (Eph 2:8-9 Titus 3:5). When faced with trials and sickness etc., God tells His grace by assuring us His salvation is enough. The Roman Catholics look at grace as transformation more than salvation. Grace that brings salvation gets quickly skipped and transformation is spoken of. He's mixing justification and sanctification. No definition of grace is given.
Thank you for this beautiful message of God ,and delivering it Ptr.David Bernard
Your grace, Your love, Your mercy is ocean deep Lord Jesus, Hallelujah! 🙌🙌
