Oh dude, this is one of the best bands to open your heart and mind to other music. Florence made me understand back in 2012 that the genre doesn't matter. And Flo is quite close to rock and alternative! At the start of her journey she was punky, covered Green Day, did something like "kiss with a fist". Definitely she's a goth girl inside, most of her tracks have this dark undertone which shocks you better than any guttural scream. I personally recommend "Blinding", "What the water gave me", "seven devils", "what kind of man". Also she's INSANELY good live, it's another, almost religious experience.

She is an INCREDIBLE songwriter and her voice.... Well, you haven't heard half of it! Maybe next, Heaven is Here, it's short but it packs a punch. Big God is one you might really like as well.
Wow was not expecting to see Florence, nice surprise. I watched her a ton but i fell off after Lungs. I can't remember the live concert, but she is very much the light on her feet free spirit, running and dancing bare foot around the stage. @TheWolffAndTheMelody Glad to see it, Florence was a part of my life for years. She has a style all her own, but she reminds me a bit of Janis Joplin. Raw, power, sings from her soul, not always perfect, but it's her real self. Dog Days are probably her best-known commercial song from abt 2009.
I got into Florence much later, and it's because of tracks like Delilah. There's a very real Pagan sensibility to Florence that I love, and I don't think she found it until after she broke out with songs like No Light. She's one of those "mainstream" artists who has genuine creative chops, like Adele or Amy Winehouse. I don't do "pop" music generally, but every now and then someone surprises me with something remarkable and it drags me in. I would recommend watching the videos for Delilah, Free, What Kind of Man and Hunger. She's a very diverse performer and I think you're going to see the Pagan inspirations in a lot of what she does, especially the more recent songs.
