I loved watching your reaction to being at the Magic Kingdom. As someone who lives in Orlando and has an annual pass, I can just pop down there any time I want, and sometimes it's easy to forget that my weekend day out is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for some people. Videos like this help me keep that in perspective and not take these amazing parks for granted. EDIT: Haha and you're absolutely right about this city being an endless series of highways. This has got to be one of the least-walkable cities I've ever been to, and that's compared to other American cities.
I used to live in Orlando and it must have taken you hours to walk from where you started this video to the Magic Kingdom. That’s at LEAST a 10 mile walk.

@Jason Rasmussen You tell security and they handle it. Disney's really strict on not letting cast members confront people, anything like that has to be reported to security and it becomes their duty.

I bet the Disney cast members had their ass handed to them. For not paying attention, I’ve been to the parks so many times and I’ve always wondered how many people have successfully sneaked in to the parks.
The cast member spoke the truth when she said that she was helping you because you were nice. I live in Orlando and have worked in the tourism industry. It can be brutal because the more the workers do for both management and guests the more that they are expected to do. Those who try to intimidate the workers don't realize how hardened workers become to abuse because the most sensitive ones don't survive so it is the pleasant guests who got what they wanted when they want ited, even if it was against enforced rules, because they are the ones who could catch us off guard

Watching 5 years after you did this. I think the real lesson is not so much that you put your mind to doing it but that to succeed 'don't be afraid to ask for help'. There's no way you would be able to do this without help from very kind people.

Wow, you must have had some walk to The Magic Kingdom, but well done for getting in and hats off for you to donate your entry price to double its value. It brought so many good memories looking at that, as I had an annual residence pass so could go in and out as often as I liked for the one price, and only living a 20 min drive away it was not a problem, I recall often seeing the new years eve fireworks from our lenai coming from The Magic Kingdom. Weather looks awesome, but you look burnt. Miami is fab, as I said the other day, try and find The Omni if you want your spa and luxuries, it's near Biscayne Bay, and overlooks the Bay, it's gorgeous, my favorite hotel of sorts. Enjoy.
that is impressive. Those ticket turnstiles are usually mobbed, and I could see sneaking past in the confusion, but there was barely anyone there! And what is that golden ticket fast pass? I've lived in Florida most of my life and I've NEVER seen one of those before. So glad it worked out for you though, that's a hell of a walk.

Bit of a heads up Simon we stayed at the avanti they don’t do breakfast, it’s a separate restaurant, there is a ponder Rosa Buffett breakfast about 5 minutes down the road. But you have to pay on entry, good luck happy travels .
Yep once you started walking away that definitely Avanti. And that is way far from downtown Orlando. It’s about a 15 minute to 20 minute car ride. That is super weird. Lol
Loved the comment about the rides being kiddy rides. Disney is definitely focused on kids. In Animal Kingdom they have Everest and the Avatar ride but in the Magic Kingdom and Epcot there is very little. Thats why the lines are so long on any decent ride. My favorite parks are Busch Gardens and SeaWorld (yes SeaWorld). They have much better coasters and more than one so the lines are never that long. The annual passes are much more reasonably priced and it is a much better experience.
