    The same thing, when I was studying in class nothing was going into my mind, but here I understand everything crystal clear, I want to ask our education system why, this lecture doesn't directly play in institutes and our institute faculty is just for doubt celebration. Otherwise, the boring teaching style of our teachers is constantly killing the curiosity, talent, and the future of I don't know, how many students. Our system should address this problem.
    You know what is the difference between this lecture and my teacher lecture.
    Here sir teach let say. calusis capron equation, dt/dp=detla v/delta s. same thing taught by our professor. But the main game which what this equation actually want to say , why calusis capron equation is so important, which is the main thing , that is missed by our professor.
    Thank so much sir, for your great and specially free lecture.

    On 50:55, when you say that at temperatures close to 0K there is much less atomic vibration and electrons start to vibrate more, is that the reason why superconductivity appears at extremely low temperature in some metals?
    Couldn't find any answer on google, i'm sorry.
    PS: your lectures are awsome, they really help with my understanding of thermodynamics for material science. Greetings from Slovenia

      It's about relative contribution to heat capacity ( from electronic states vs vibrational states) at low temp vibrational states about to freeze so gives very low contributions but electronic states can't freezes due to fermi rule , so they start to contribute more

    At 52.21 delta V is possitive and delta S is negative ....Im a right sir.....because density of ice is lesser than the density of water...correct??

    Sir so in the case of delta V (Volume ) the gas > solid > liquid ? or gas >liquid > solid .... please clarify my doubt .

      Depends on material

      Delta V for solid to gas or liquid gas is always positive as gases occupy more volume but delta V for solid to liquid is not always true e.g galium, Bismuth, water and grey cast iron shrink on melting rather than expanding
