I just got back from visiting Dresden and it brought me to tears. Such a beautiful city and such wonderful, friendly & hospitable people. A++ for Travelers! Highly Recommended!
If we can rebuild the Frauenkirche in just 15 years, there is no excuse for the hideous modern "architecture" of to-day. We ought to have cities more beautiful still than those which came out of the Baroque period, with the means at our disposal. God bless Germany, Dresden, Europe in general and all the rest! I love it all...love it! Thanks for the video.
I would do anything to go to Germany (well within reason). Dresden was one of the first places i would love to visit first, then maybe Hamburg, or Frankfurt. I love Germany, such a beautiful country. ^_^ Still have to learn German though. I've been practicing but i wish we had it in school. It would have been my favorite class and, there is no doubt i'd be "teachers pet". lol
@fwbz well maybe i'm wrong but in Leipzig ther is not as much historical architecture as Dresden. But all in all it is a beautiful city to. Tourist schould visit the Hauptbahnhof. It is the biggest Kopfbahnhof worldwide
But they are mixing images and commentaries on several saxon cities and you never know what they are talking about and what they are showing. The images were at least from the cities of Dresden, Leipzig, Freiberg and Meißen
The past is the past and it's done. Today's Germans are to be congratulated for doing such a fine job of restoring Dresden's beauty. Bravo! Now, if only they could be persuaded to do a similar restoration to some of their uglier postwar rebuilds like Magdeburg, Chemnitz. and yes even Nürnberg.
After 0:36: Looks like Leipzig(some people say, more beatiful than Dresden, cause wasnt destroyed in that way like Dresden was) , 1:12 then short scene of Meißen (origin centre of Saxony).
@Ickerbocker What has this to do with showing a wrong picture? If he shows Meißen then he should talk about Meißen. - And Leipzig has at least as much historical architecture as Dresden - o.k. - it are not castles and it well looks not like Meißen, but Leipzig has huge Wilhelminian style areas and impressiv historical industrial buildings. And if you only want to show big monuments, the Völkerschlachtdenkmal would come to mind.
Germany could have won the war without firing a shot. All they had to do was to drop their grammar on the other countries and the latter would have surrendered at once. The British could have won by dropping their food on Germany. The Nazis would have sued for peace the same day.
what a stupid video - when he starts talking about Leipzig the pictures of Meißen are shown and later when he stil talks about Leipzig Dresden is shown - so someone who doesn't know Saxony gets a completly wrong impression.

I visited this city while I was with my friends, and If I have to choose between Budapest, Prague, Vienna or Dresden - DRESDEN the BEST city of all!

As is known, the German tourism concentrates on organizing camps
