Remember getting this for my birthday and never getting out of the car park. I'd look at the back of the box longingly at the levels I couldn't get too
Ever since I played driver, the words "You wrecked the car man!" Turns me into a murderous psychopath.
YouthOfCreepypasta You demolished the automobile, gentleman.
+YouthOfCreepypasta makes you wanna play twisted metal don't you?
GAWD DAYUM
you damaged the car guy!
You wrecked the car man!
Ahh man. I remember exactly how I used to do this. I'd drive straight toward the wall and stop quickly. Speed, Burnout, Handbrake, and Brake Test all at one time. Then I'd reverse and do a reverse 180, go into a 360, then find space to do a forward 180. Then a quick slalom and a fast lap. Would take like 30 seconds, no scratches on the car, no lie.
sweeeeet
Speeder975 you are a god
If you go into the Training menu, you can watch a demo of this being done before you attempt it.
Terrible Tanner, if I'm not mistaken, it shows the buttons being pressed as it maneuvers, so he'd learn that all you gotta do is reverse as fast as you can and turn when you let off the throttle to do a reverse 180.
"I have a thing about airports in video games"-
pre-Airport Simulator NerdCubed.
"Gawd DAYUM! You wrecked the car, man!
Anyone else notice how lots of games, you start to get good at and it feels easy, then suddenly BAM really difficult mission, and you just stand there like "WHAT THE HELL IM NOT READY FOR THIS!" I mean that might only be me because I suck at video games even though I've played forever XD
god DAYUM
that's his I felt about skyrim. I stopped doing the missions and just killed things. never play it anymore tho
+Gigantickookie Like the RC helicopter mission in Vice City....
It kind of happened to me with half life 1...
"This is pretty easy"
"Ok a bit more difficult"
"This is actually not that easy"
"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS BOSSFIGHT"
"..."
R.I.P me
+TVR Chimaera (4.5L V8) me playing retro city rampage:)
Nerd3 Completes Driver? This has to be a thing.
I completely agree!
❄ICEMAN❄ Driver 2? and Parallel Lines?
❄ICEMAN❄ YESSSSS
Not to toot my own horn, but if you go on my channel, I hold the world record for the fastest run on completing this game from start to finish. (Speedrun) You don't have to, just felt like saying it, I also have a tutorial speedrun on it too that was the former world record.
Do you want this man to go insane?
I still remember the optimal routine to complete the tutorial. Correct me if I'm wrong, but:
- Burnout and speed straight until you almost hit the wall and then break.
- Reverse 180 and connect to the slalom.
-Exit the slalom and enter lap
-complete lap and connect to a sprint and 180, immediately connecting to the 360.
Might have mixed 180 with something.
Very similar to what I did, WHEN I WAS 10 :P
-Burnout into Speed and Brake Test
-Reverse into Reverse 180
-Burnout into a 360
-Slalom, Lap then finish with a 180
How to do a Reverse 180 (according to Canada's Worst Driver)
Step 1: Get some speed, about 20 to 25 mph. (30 to 40 kmh)
Step 2: Let off the gas.
Step 3: Turn the wheel slightly in one direction. This will help to build a Pendulum Effect.
Step 4: Turn the wheel all the way in the opposite direction.
Your big mistake from what I can tell: you never let off the gas.
Love that show.
Guns and violence don't make people murderous...this mission does
God DAYUM!
Hearing he say this game is "almost 15 years old" from a video that is itself 10 years old is quite mesmerizing. This game is almost 3 decades now.
This was hard as a kid but doable and made me like the game more.
I loved driver and driver 2 as a kid. This one was possibly the last game my dad got for himself, and I remember him raging at this opening level.
He should definitely turn this into a series; in fact, I quite like to see him beat ‘The President’s Run’.
I get what they were trying to do with this. So many games nowadays hold your hand for an hour or more to make sure little babby player knows how to walk without tripping over everything. This just dumps you into that shitty garage and says something like "Right, now you're going to stay here until you figure everything out by yourself. If you can't, come back when you don't suck." Pretty demonic, but still.
7:15 Hubcap comes off.
0:00 - 16:14 Hubcaps come off.
That made me laugh harder than I should've
The problem I'm seeing is he's trying to rush too much. 60 seconds is more than enough time to do everything. I mean in this video at one point he did everything but the reverse 180 and still had a quarter of the time left and when he finished the whole thing he had almost half the time left, all while commentating at the same time. Just don't rush and prioritize the moves that chain together and it's not at all that hard. It just requires you to be competent and stay cool under pressure.
God I hated this level. Even to this day I haven't got passed that level. I need to get it out again to beat that level once and for all.
RockinMadRiot Have you beaten it yet?
Did you beat it
How 'bout now?
Have you beaten it?
Have you beaten it yet?
this game is as old as me
You do realize that isn't the tutorial level right? The tutorial level is located under "Training" in the main menu. It is still the parking garage test, but it has a ghost car to follow and tells you what buttons to press.
scottthewaterwarrior Yes it is the tutorial, now fuck off.
Maybe I’ll give you a call if I need a ride to the grocery store
How he managed to keep running full speed straight in to cars that never moved is beyond me...
i recall there being a video that shows you how to do everything in one go in the game
Dunno about ps1 version, but in PC version there is training mode, which will have 2 levels, Parking Lot and Desert, and in each there'll be a demonstration of how do you do each of them. Incidentally, i still have the original PC disc of this game, and to my surprise, this game runs on Win 10 X64 flawlessly without any patch/config/whatever, it just runs beautifully without any hassle whatsoever. Easier to run than GTA Vice City PC.
So the police in Driver were basically the GTA 5 police before GTA 5
WHICH GAME HAS A COOL MAIN MENU AS THIS,TELL ME!!!!!
I never managed to complete this on my own. I eventually found a walkthrough for this mission (i.e. which order to do everything), and finally got to play the rest of the game.
Kids these days complain about GTA cops thinking they have it bad... They never played Driver...
You wrecked the car. Get out of my sight.
My dad played this game everyday for like a year until he beat it. He was obsessed with it, would not accept defeat.
Getting the licenses in Gran Turismo was harder IMO. I'm hardly the worlds' greatest gamer and I managed to clock this baby playing casually for a couple of days. It's true that games used to be far more difficult than in the current era of participation awards for all.
It's the opposite for me. Gran turismo Licence is easy, and this is hard.
>Participation Awards for all
You know, this wouldn't be a problem if they would stop giving us participation awards. They are mad at us for their own actions.
all licenses isnt THAT hard ..getting all gold though..
but heres the thing with a B and A license you could still play and enjoy the game..THIS..you can't!
in soviet russia, car drives you!
It doesn't look particularly easy but it seems like people are just ass at this as well.
by the sounds of it, the controls are pretty aweful too
the controls were horrible and you had no experience with such games
How were the controls bad? They seamed alright to me, only levels I had trouble with were that night car delivery level in Miami and of coarse the infamous Presidents Run.
car delivery level... you mean superfly drive?
yeh its a ps1 game game, so steering doesn't sound fun without an analog stick
I'm glad to know that even older gamers struggle with this god-forsaken "tutorial".
Anyone here from NerdCubed?
Actually yes....from the driver three video?
-_-
+PotaTox This is nerd³'s channel -_-
MrJakeman124 No, this is NerdCubedOfficial's channel.
PotaTox that's his real channel
The best Nerd3 video ever.
Driver parallel lines was also a good play
2:57 THIS IS THE CHU-TO-RIAL
Merry Christmas to you and your families everyone ! 🎅🤠🤗😁
In the PC it was even worst, because there was no list of things you needed to do.
Lol
Worse*
Horse
+Thales Kruger god DAYUM
JackRichard DAYUM! DAYUM! DAYUM!
How can so many people be stupid enough to not find the training menu with the demonstration, which shows even the button inputs that needs to be done for the tutorial.
I always struggle with reverse 180s in many games, when I was younger it took me ages to learn how to do them in Stuntman Ignition
Am I special then? I did this no problem as a kid lol! I'd so love a remaster of this game! It's better than most games we play in 2018!!!
Yep. This was impossible until I had well over 10 years of driving video games under my belt.
I have a fondness for this mission i have to say. It took me half an hour to best though, and I never tried it again
Watching this after getting golds on every cone level on PGR 2 knowing you could get it in a handful of tries.
One of my pet hates is when people call this level the tutorial level
Driver 1: great
Driver 2: great
Driver 3: bad
Driver Parallel Lines: good
Driver 76: good
Driver San Fransisco: great
Driver Renegade: bad
**BONUS** C.O.P. The Recruit: great
What about the driver boat racing game
go right in menu twice. (training); then select car park. it has a controller diagram showing u how to do this. I managed to complete level 1 on my 10th bday, game was beat that day too, The President's Run took a few tries, but not as many as level 1
i played this when i was 5. I thought this level WAS the game
AND THERE WAS NO INTERNET AROUND TO LOOK UP HOW ITS DONE...
Aww man...this level. It was a nightmare when I played Driver as a kid because I could never get past it.
Grghhh I remember getting that and could NEVER DO THE LEVEL!
it makes me sad cause I never saw the game
Driver is the most hardest game i've played. i've never completed the second level. only 60 seconds to do tricks that most people wouldn't understand what they are.
my dad beat it, i tried but all i do in that game is CRASH EVERYTHING!!
I remember having this game on mobile, going through hell on earth (aka this level), but yet managing to finish it unlocking a free roam gameplay.
Rip driver sanfransisco . If you didnt know it was taken off steam and other online platforms.😔
please do it again
The main thing I remember about driver was how it cussed you out in a parking deck.
G O D D A M N
Dont know if im alien or something but i got this level in like 5 tries.
+Vault Boy Sampsan That's still a lot for what is basically a training level.
My console would be a crippled pile of debris due to rage
Most of the time i spend on this game was free mode ,this mission is brutal
When i was a kid, i didnt pass this mission...still havent.
Driver Parallel Lines still a great time. That 70s aesthetic is great, and the driving controls still feel really good.
But the on foot gameplay is very mediocre. If it was just to go from one car to another, it would be fine. But there are missions that have a huge chunk of it, which aren't fun.
But most of it is driving
took me 3 years to realize Nerd knows Bo Burnham
I can't believe this video came out 10 years ago 😭. I was in 6th grade 😳 😭
L1 is harder steer, go in reverse with L1 engaged and you will pull it off!
just reverse and whip it around lol no handbreak or anything. also theres "driver" "driver2" "driver 3" "driver parallel lines" "driver sanfranciso"
The people who say they can't complete the tutorial to this day...Just get good at games. It's not THAT hard once you know how to do everything.
I thought Driver 2 was good. It’s Driver 1 but you can get out your car and car jack people. New city’s, new story, why didn’t he like it?
I really appreciate and enjoy playing the entire Driver series, even the weird mobile and java versions... honestly, I did not get a chance to play the 3DS version of Driver : Driver Renegade.
Nerd3 Completes Driver
It's not a tutorial level, though.
I could never experience this game because I never got passed the start!
you make me laugh so much we never I watch you
Ah, I was wondering how you spelled whenever in the Martian language...
Pop Fucktard.
Can you do a driver San Francisco challenge on this
Omg DRIVER i started playing it at 8 with my dad im now 13 and i still carnt complete that level
I used to love this game!!
I found this game in the garage...i didn't find the disc inside the box 😭
man i never got to play this since the tutorial was impossible to do.
Burnout speed break test reverse 180 slalom handbreak 180 lap 360
Nerd3 nobody ignores the other drivers like you said heres my opinions:
Driver = Great (Its also on PC so you should play that version)
Driver 2 = Good, Perhaps not as good as Driver 1, but still good.
Driv3r = OK, but Kinda Disappointing considering how driver 1 and 2 got praise.
Driver: Parallel Lines = Good as it starts in 1978 to 2006 and fixes all the issues and problems that driver 3 had.
Driver: 76 (PSP) = Ok, but not that Good.
Driver: San Francisco = Great because i played it and its good for what i heard.
Driver: Renegade = Never played it but i heard it was ok, but not that great.
(note: never played them except for Driver: SF)
"This is the chutorial level"
Driver is still installed on my PC
here from that bike video
this video is the only reason I was able to beat it (bloody hell it was obtuse)
Theres 7 Driver Games.
Im playing the driver San Francisco while I am watching this video I'm doing the 88 mile an hour easter egg
Normal version or ramping version?
Nostalgiaaaaa
play more driver san francisco
if i made this game i would make it so you can check the steps to do the stuff and not put on a time limit on the tutorial.
If I made it I would make it so you could skip the tutoriAL OR JUST DELETE IT
burnout speed brake handbrake rev 180 lap slalom 180 360 thats how i do
no wonder people said games cause violence
Lol watching this is so frustrating cuz you're wasting time by not paying attention to when the slalom is completed. Not to mention you're clearly crashing on purpose lol
Driver- 9/10
Driver 2- 10/10
Driv3r- 8/10 (yes I like it)
Driver Parallel lines- 9/10
Driver 76- 8/10
Driver SF- 7/10 (didn't like it that much)
Driver Renegade 3D- 8/10
C.O.P The Recruit- 8/10
i did it in 32 seconds...
Before playtesters made them change it, the original limit was 30.
I hope Dan saved the game after completing the level. :|
I’m a master at this level. I can get it done in like 25 or 30 seconds.
holy balls I remember this game
play driver san francisco
