The technician himself! Welcome to youtube. Guys Listen to this dude I’ve learned so much from watching this guy ride. He has inspired me to be a better rider and general human being. Guy knows his stuff.
Johnny Hopper #iKnowRight? It had to be done!!! Sometimes it’s hard to get old school guys to join the new school 🤣 Wait until you see what’s in store. You’ll love it 😉
Nothing wrong with old school starts, under rated 3rd gear starts. The beauty of 3rd is one less shift and 3rd pulls for much longer. When the rest shift 3rd you'll pull 3 to 4 bike lengths, you need to practice them. Works awesome in the wet.
One of the first things I learned was starts with this technique. It makes a big difference when you can put down the most power while everyone else is doing a wheelie.
@@dlock5794 No! It's just another thing which ultimately no one needs but the after market companies can sell you. Ban them and do it like Ryno says and your golden.
you will even see people shift up with the buckle of their boot so they don't have to bring the foot all the way up that way they maintain more balance
Yeah maybe good at a place like Glen Hellen , I ride a 500 2stroke, a very hard bike to launch. Most local tracks have a short distance to the first corner, the thought of sitting on your ass going into the corner stupid! I get my feet on the pegs asap and my ass off the seat so I can drop down and square the corner on the inside or rail the outside. Fyi I race Thunder valley national track, not being on the pegs on that uphill start makes no sense.
Ryno is on about keeping your feet low and balanced just untill the bike is tracking straight, of course you get your feet up before your even half way down the straight! I've seen people go to shift when there barely over the gate and this will cause you all sorts of problems, please don't think you know better than Ryan Hughes!

Yess rhino thanks for the tips I’ll be using your technique at my first race!
Good to get over the whole starting gate

Hey rhino. Can you please do a video on why you don’t like bracing? Like neck brace and knee braces.
SICK. Thanks RYNO
Love your tech !!!
I don't get why Starting Devices are allowed. If everyone has one then what's the point???
Does it make starts safer, less crashes maybe?
