save money and cut a couple wood wedges and jam them in the door jam.

You sure could! I use to use wedges! You could also 3d print something similar, or you could make something out of wood! DIY is always an option! Lots of folks make their own tools, including me sometimes!

If you're holding a door used by the public, you'll have do-gooders kicking away your homemade wedges and making life complicated.
A chock or wedge like this, especially with some sort of official looking tag dangling from it, is much less likely to be messed with, or even understood, by the average busybody walking through the workspace.

I use one regularly and it is very durable and easily drops into your pocket. However, it does struggle with an offset door hinge.

It's a neat idea, but I'm not sure it's worth $39 for 2 of them. That's $20 nearly for one.

I agree, it is pricey. But it's worth sharing as I think by looking at how it's made, it wouldn't take much to make/DIY something similar that worked just as well. ;)

Oh, I'm glad you shared it. I think it would be a good product for those that have a door they go in and out of a lot, that need to to stay open. Enjoy your channel! @@1D10CRACY

a wooden wedge is cheaper and more secure on most doors.
This tging is defeated by any hinge that isnt sheet metal

This is more secure than a wooden wedge. Once you hook it over the hinge, it won't fall off. But yes, you can absolutely come up with cheaper options! And a wedge will get the job done. ;)
