It's quite a while since my last video of the Filmomat back in 2015. We now have 2017 and in the meantime I improved and further developed the machine a lot. Besides some internal technical improvements I also made some updates to the design of the machine.
In this video I show you some black and white processing of two Ilford HP5+ roll films using the "Filmomat 2.0" and Spur HRX chemistry. As black and white processes are not terribly temperature critical, I use the Filmomat without any temperature control here.

Mega! you upgraded to cylindrical chemical tanks and added a motor to agitate (instead of the bubble system you used previously). Alter!, you even upgraded from the "Rewe" bucket to a yellow mellow average Eimer. Now that is a real Film Nerd MVP. Greetings from Frankfurt Am Mainhattan.

Great device! The level of finish and the aesthetic are excellent. I just started making my own similar film processing machine, how well do you find your heating element works to heat such a large volume for when you do color development ? I think I'm either going to have to induce mixing or make a heating element that is distributed throughout the tank. How did you approach the temperature control aspect of you design ?

hizokuto 3.5K, well let’s see. If it costs me €5 to have one roll developed then I would have to develop 700 rolls before I broke even, and if I shot one roll a month, then it would take just over 58 years to shoot 700 rolls. Nah, I’ll give that a miss.

Wow. This is incredible. I love the new design. I hope you don't mind me asking what is preventing you from distributing these devices outside of Germany. If there is anything I can do to help you sell these in America, just let me know. :-)

You need to start a company or something for mass production and sales! Pitch your idea on shark tank or something.

So, glossed over the fact that you still have to manually wash the film in some other tank or device, then Photoflo rinse manually to avoid water spots, and hang to dry. So, half automatic; half manual. Is there someone so lazy that this would seem reasonable?

I must be the only person that thinks it't total overkill and expensive overkill at that.
