    The snare is the only Incredible Hulk episode where The Hulk doesn't encounter any woman,only had to defend himself against a hunter who hunts men on his private island. Good that he was victim by his own hand when he fell down and accidentally hit one of his own poison darts when he attacked David while making him change into The Hulk.

    He might of been based on Kraven, but I think he was more patterned after The hunter in the 30s movie, "The Most Dangerous Game." My dad and I would watch those old movies growing up, It introduced me too too Fay Wray. She would go on too do Ann Darrow in King Kong, I think they used many of the same sets when they filmed both movies.

    You'd think an expert hunter would have antitoxin on his person in case of an accidental poisoning. The price of hubris. Thought he was untouchable.

    I read in Starlog Magazine, this guy was based on Kraven:The Hunter. So, he might be the series first "connection", to the rest of the Marvel Universe.

    Yes he did...and was almost killed by a hidden trap in the provided boat. This guy actually hid a bomb in a tape recorder congratulating David on a well-played game. But David, being extremely cautious, left the recorder on the docks as he started the boat's engine and set sail. The dock blew up as soon as he was a safe distance away.

    wintunnel23 Yes, David did bury him, still maintaining his compassion for human life (or death). Ironically, as David finally leaves the island on a boat, set up by Sutton, he plays a recorded message by Sutton, seeming to concede to his defeat. Then the tape player explodes, which would've killed the survivor, showing Sutton's sore loser nature. Sutton was screwy all the way around.

  • @Splinter48708
    @Splinter48708 12 лет назад +2

    McGee eventually had learned to respect the Hulk and learned to have some compassion towards "John Doe" (Banner) considering how many times Hulk saved McGee's life. Banner disliked McGee cause he was always on the run. But, as it was said in the pilot, because David won't kill, neither will the Hulk. If you examine the series, Hulk usually saves Banner's ass by default, then, saves/protects whoever David was trying to protect. Hulk's more compassionate than McGee painted him originally.

    One of the most exciting episodes, even until the very end, when Sutton has a parting gift for David. No one would have blamed him if he had killed Sutton in self defense, yet the way events played out, caused the hunter to fall prey to his own devices.

    @incrediblehulkmovies No...McGee cared about the man inside of the Hulk that he didn't want the Hulk killed...only captued. Plus if the mercenary killed the Hulk then the mercernary would have killed McGee's story and obsession.

      wudaddy In Season 1 of Life And Death....David growled (in Ted Cassidy's voice) just before the transformation sound effect occurred.
      I can tell you are not a fan of Charles Napier (who appeared in 2 Hulk episodes and I think 1 Hulk movie). Napier's growls are just okay in my book....but Cassidy will always be top notch in my opinion for making the Hulk's roars animalistic.

    • @wudaddy
      @wudaddy 7 лет назад

      I don't like or dislike either voice, I just felt that in this particular episode, the growls were overdone. Mainly in the first transformation.

    • @liamweyne2962

      +James Johnson were there only 2 people doing hulk growels or three? i know Ted did the first 2 seasons but in episodes like the quiet room and vendetta road, he still growels in a diffrent way than in episodes like this. so mayby you have ted during season 1 and 2, another one during the quiet room and vandetta road, and another one during season 3 4 and 5

    • @wudaddy
      @wudaddy 7 лет назад +2

      Yes, Ted Cassidy did the first couple of seasons, and Charles Napier did the last couple of seasons, so it's reasonable that they would've used someone else in the interim until Napier agreed to do the growls.

    Bradford Dillman was always great at playing bad guys. He played Clint Eastwood's boss in THE ENFORCER (1976). He was actually a good guy in that, but to Clint he was a jerk, because he always believed in playing by the book!

    Did David bury this creep

    • @adamhepburn9701
      @adamhepburn9701 5 лет назад

      David sure did bury this creep, Wintunnel23. After Hulk changed back to David, he discovered that Michael Sutton had dug a grave along with a wooden headstone that had "RIP David Bennett" written at the top. David placed Sutton's dead body in the grave and filled the grave with a spade and soil that just happened to be nearby. After placing the tombstone on the grave which now had David Bennett's name crossed out and Michael Sutton's name written on it instead, David walked off to an awaiting boat and left the island as well as one last trap which he successfully avoided.
