Very cool, your sword is just like mine, Just a signature on the same side, Someone told me it's over 400 years old on a Japanese forum. It's not a family sword and I can only surmise that this was a sword from an Amory that was used to supply the local farmers and whoever could hold a sword during feudal times to fend off neighboring feudal states. The blade is extraordinary and breath taking to look at. One day I will get it restored and have the blade mounted in another more appropriate saya and other implements.
