  • This is how to make your flutter apps faster than usual. In a couple years, more and more website and apps will be created with products like godaddy, wordpress or FlutterFlow. In this video, I will show you why it is important to code faster and which tool you can use also. The actually service presented in this video is what we call Flutter Flow! The first time I hear of it was in a google conference and right away I created an account and started my journey with flutter flow. If you want more information you can go on the Flutter Flow's website which is linked down bellow. Thanks for watching!

    Pro Tip for new developers:
    Build your own code generator application for common functions and UI. One software development pillar is to build REUASABLE functions.
    For example one extremely commom UI you will build throughout your career is a Login Page. Most of the time its always the same thing. Start will a code generator for that alone. Simple. And keep building more on it. Dont complicate it, generate the basics, username and password boxes, login button, logo placeholder, background color. And adjustments you'll edit after.

  • @victorymentality1922
    @victorymentality1922 Год назад +6

    Good for prototyping fast and building UI layouts. Developers might be able to hire someone with limited coding experience who can focus on building the entire layout of their app while engineers focus on building the backend functionality. The people commenting saying this is useless are missing the point. The point isn't to replace software engineers, it's to lower the bar for entry for app developers. With ChatGPT and this tool, almost anyone can start making apps and learn as they go. The future looks very bright.

    The video is quite easy to understand, although flutterflow is an app builder in nocode it can help you make the app way faster than if you writing everything yourself. It's the same for a pro or a beginner. If you are unsatisfied with its limitations, the code they let you download is clean enough so you won't have any problem to add your own and make the whole thing work. Developpers should stop seeing nocode app builders like competitors but like tools that they should use to get some edge. With this instead of writing the whole thing maybe you would just add one feature with your code and be done, it would obviously be way faster than the one writing the whole thing. And the client just won't care if you wrote the whole thing yourself or not. No code app builders can't take the job of good programmers, like programmers are the ones making them lol and there will always be limitations in these app builders.
    I stopped programming to become an artist and I see the same problem when we talk about AI Art which is also more of a tool than competition.

  • @TheJaniable
    @TheJaniable Год назад +9

    I suppose this video going the way it did can also be attributed to the sponsor, and not only the creator. On the sponsor-side, specifying requirements better, having more iterations and giving a bigger budget could result in a better video. On your side though - you have to be more responsible and only accept sponsorships that align with your channel content and won't just sound like a shill. Try negotiating better requirements or even upselling, asking for more budget in exchange for a better video.
    @FlutterFlow better sponsor him again to make a tutorial on how to develop an application with FlutterFlow that has all the aforementioned things (API calls, local storage, Authentication).
    Also @FlutterFlow what the hell. The free tier doesn't even let me download my code or define more than 2 API endpoints? I feel like the stuff included with the "Standard" $30 pricing modell SHOULD BE FREE, and maybe limited to 5-10 projects, or limited code downloads, limited API calls or whatever. But this is ridiculous. Take a look at CodeMagic, the community loves them because they let people do stuff for free, and only charge when someone wants to get serious. I can't even build a hobby project with FlutterFlow for free.

    • @FlutterDev1337
      @FlutterDev1337 8 месяцев назад

      If you used their service to quickly spin up an app they should be compensated and $30 is a reasonable donation. You can simply cancel after you downloaded the code.

    You gotta be kidding me. Man at this point I can't tell you if you stopped caring about your community or you are genuinly mislead. Try building something complex, debugging it, and maintainig for some lengthy period. You said that the generated code is good however it isn't really. How are u gonna keep your code modular, manage its dependencies, analyse at code level cause this is gonna really make your life hard or impossible for certain things. Honestly, I think I could go all night long listing why u really shouldnt use it. The thing I can imagine it could be somewhat useful for is for prototyping or to build something really simple and if you are not a software engineer. There are a lot of newbies in the market today, and promoting this will only make them go after the wrong path. After all we all want to become decent software engineers I believe. I think it's best to remove or to rerelease this video properly, however, that's up to you. Hope for better content.

    • @sigma_z
      @sigma_z Год назад

      the generated code is garbage and the you have to work around so many limitations it's stupid. also, ANY change to UI or custom code requires a complete rebuild of the app which takes anywhere between 2-3 minutes.
      On top of this, you have an error somewhere, good luck.. there's no close verbose debugger that tells you exactly what is not compiling.

    Unsubbed, there has been no new knowledge coming from this channel as most the videos were just taken directly from Flutter docs. Promoting these kinds of products just leads to hopeful people wasting their money on a product that will lead them nowhere. No job would take you seriously if all you can do is drag and drop widgets. If something is that easy, it's not worth doing and definitely not worth paying for. At best I could see this being used to make a very rough demo app used to display a concept, but I doubt it would have much further use.
