People don't pick simple because of the placebo effect, they think it is slowing down their progression when in reality it is barely noticeable and at most it will make getting a point a little bit longer than usual if you aren't farming things that give large amounts of exp.
@@sweettea7123 idk if that is a deepbound issue or what, and you are probably talking about stat training because unless you are farming mudskippers, you should not be getting soft capped at power 5. @@Sinkozai if you dont have xp, then you cant level up with autodidact, so effectively you are just investing points EARLIER than you would've normally, while not progressing faster (unless in to1)
I use Manic in almost all my builds because I'm always Deepbound and I would say the only time I feel like it really puts me in danger is when I'm in Ancient Rotlands and when fighting the Deep Widow that can give you up to Tier 2 insanity with only 4 hits
The thing with deficient is that when you have high tempo it doesnt do much but if you have a lower amount of tempo the ether regen being slower is VERY noticeable
Steadfast is actually kinda bad. If you pick up uh... That one talent that lets you get armor from simply killing things. Its pretty useless since now you just need to get enough armor reduction to allow your armor to last in multiple fights which is really easy to do with most mantras.
Couple things to note about packmule: - The 25 food capacity thing mentioned is a bug and happens through buying in bulk at merchants with no food in your inventory, you are still limited to a much lower cap, coming into play when you try to buy or make more of the food item while having any amount in your inventory, and both packmule (boon) and packmule (talent) increase said cap up to, if I remember correctly, 19 total. Not that big of a deal overall, if you just use the bug to bulk buy 25 a pop, but still something worth noting. - Packmule also increases the amount of repair kits you can stack up to 7, which can be nice for depths shenanigans. There might also be other stackable items (that do not stack to 99) affected by this, but I don't know of any personally.
@@gocraftergo Not true at all. You don't need any exp to invest your 15 points at Power 20 since you don't power increase afterwards and Trial of One doesn't count towards your exp gain, but if you have autodidact, you can leave 2 powers later than usual.

great vid but the packmule hate can't stand. the food increase isn't to 25, it's a +3-5 (I forgot exactly how much) on most items that have a stack limit lass than 99, this is EXTREMELY beneficial to linkstrider builds as it actually allows them to have more than 10 stardust in their inventory, packmule the boon also stacks with pack mule the talent which then gives your food a max stack size of 20 (the 25 is a misconception because buying food at shops can glitch out your max stack until you eat the food)
blind isnt bad its actually really good if you're going to get the "blindseer" oath, as if you have blind ness after you get the oath, it just negates to vision blurring and gives the map a new color scheme.
Haemophillia is really good on builds that use reinforced armor or brick wall or just high fortitude in general. Your blood is based on your total fortitude, said by Aga in a stream and yeah it's true, I run haemo on a build with reinforced armor and I lose barely any blood. It's noticeable with NLK though on those attunementless medium builds, so be careful.
@@Simon12135 I had ran NLK for about two months and I had seen that NLKs bloodloss effect wasn’t noticeable on anything because I ran it on high fortitude builds. But then I used an NLK rifle spear with barely any fortitude and noticed that I lost blood really fast.
Not many people know this but the deer people are guided by naeve if i spelt that right, most people think it only slightly stops hunger but it actually increases your blinded vision, making blinded a little more easy for the deer people.
On an autodidact note I want to say how useful it is for power 20, I just stop using autodidact points at powers 16-20 and then have exactly 15 points to put into weapon or anything else as my last stat without a drawback since i wont need any exp now at power 20, makes finishing builds much easier
Personally I always go simple, packmule, and survivalist nowadays. Once I learned that simple basically doesn’t nothing it’s free. So I just pick things that are permanent and actually help past max level.
I kinda use Blind for when I make a Blindseer build cuz I'm a Gremor and Gremors suffer less from the Blind flaw due to the Navae's Guidance Innate Talent.
ONG BRO i just rerolled my flaw but got deficit and wasnt happy but then i saw ur vid in my recommended and i thought that this video will for sure show how deficit doesnt even work like the billion other things that dont work because nobody talks abt it lmao
I always go autodidact on most of my builds, especially if deepbound or voidwalker. Training weapons is so tedious in depths unless if you're doing hell mode. But honestly, autodidact is so underrated, at least based on my own experience. It only takes about 4 hours to max power a mage build.
i use autodidact to save 3 investment points every level and intern, saving me exp that i have to grind. sometimes i forget i have free points and when i figure out that i have some, its the best feeling ever
Glad simple is getting some recognition it's literal only downside is you have to play the game a tinsey bit longer which is apparently too much for 90% of the community
Blind can easily be a free point, it just takes practice. Ive gotten to the point where i can sail to TO1, win and get blindseer. Of course getting sent to the depths is a near death sentence but if you know a lot about your surroundings blind isn't that bad. Though i do suggest practicing with a blindfold first before doing a whole blind build.
Deficient is only noticeable when you have no Tempo left Basically, it makes it so that you suffer more against shadow users and in long drawn fights in general
The blind talent isn't that bad, it becomes a free point with gremor and/or blindseer. also it can be funny with friends. I give it D or E I think scrapper should be S TIER, It saves so many builds. All the best builds NEED scrapper to make sure they get every talent from min-maxing also btw, primadon and the spider give you insanity in addition to sharko
I personally like running autodidact to save time since before I'd say power 12 autodidact DOES let you power up for free since the XP curve doesn't hit as hard and after power 12 I just stockpile points for level 20 and then shove them all in at the end to finish the build
also packmule doesnt allow u to carry 25 of a food that happens when you go to a food merchant with 0 of the food item and attempt to buy it, because you have 0 of that item the game doesn''t check to see if you will reach the cap of the food item so it just lets u buy up to 25 of it, however u cant by 25 of an item if u have a piece of that food in your inventory
my friend who i introduced to the game complained the game is bad and dogshit because it would not load meanwhile he picked the blind flaw as his new character
survivalist ALSO reduces fall damage (ALLEGEDLY). i pretty much always choose it on characters because i have no problems hitting level 20 and it makes PvE farming that much safer.
I like autodidact with simple cause it negates the slowest effect of simple at power 20. The only time simple gets annoying is those last 15 points, and you can just save them with autodidact. And also like you said, 3 free power ups
e tier for autodidact considerign the other boons is outrageous 3 levels is huge in trial. id reckon also using it if youir trying to equip a weapon, like if your power 17 and got all your stuff u just spam ur autodidact points and be able to use your wep or if your level 20 u just use them
Whenever I progress a build without simple flaw I swear I progress like 50% slower, also deficient is easily the worst flaw in the game, even though the testing didn't show anything it's painfully obvious the difference it makes in game
i actually did use blind once unironically it was on a blindseer build with no shrine so i got 40 willpower out of shrine and got blindseer immediately.
adret + autodidact is actually op it gives 6 point every lvl and when you spend these points investment points negate that means you havve 9 ivestment points which leads to faster progression

blind isnt bad its actually really good if you're going to get the "blindseer" oath, as if you have blind ness after you get the oath, it just negates to vision blurring and gives the map a new color scheme.
Haemophillia is really good on builds that use reinforced armor or brick wall or just high fortitude in general. Your blood is based on your total fortitude, said by Aga in a stream and yeah it's true, I run haemo on a build with reinforced armor and I lose barely any blood. It's noticeable with NLK though on those attunementless medium builds, so be careful.
blood is based on fortitude as well? did not know that
@@Simon12135 I had ran NLK for about two months and I had seen that NLKs bloodloss effect wasn’t noticeable on anything because I ran it on high fortitude builds. But then I used an NLK rifle spear with barely any fortitude and noticed that I lost blood really fast.
well technically, if you doing blindseer you get free point from blind but... imagine power 8 freshie trying to find erisia while being blind
3:39 this boon is just S tier for anyone who runs flamecharm cause of cauterized wounds existence
Not many people know this but the deer people are guided by naeve if i spelt that right, most people think it only slightly stops hunger but it actually increases your blinded vision, making blinded a little more easy for the deer people.
The Dead Signal elevator music at the end of the video mad my day
having vegetarian locks you out from getting carnivore
if you find it annoying if carnivore is showing up on ur hands lol
Ending f tier is like a hole title 9:52
"Sly Blind Fugitive"
On an autodidact note I want to say how useful it is for power 20, I just stop using autodidact points at powers 16-20 and then have exactly 15 points to put into weapon or anything else as my last stat without a drawback since i wont need any exp now at power 20, makes finishing builds much easier
Personally I always go simple, packmule, and survivalist nowadays. Once I learned that simple basically doesn’t nothing it’s free. So I just pick things that are permanent and actually help past max level.
i was making a build with blind for blindseer and i got sent to the depths. took me a solid hour and a half to escape because i couldnt see a thing
I kinda use Blind for when I make a Blindseer build cuz I'm a Gremor and Gremors suffer less from the Blind flaw due to the Navae's Guidance Innate Talent.
7:26 deep widow and primadon give insanity
ONG BRO i just rerolled my flaw but got deficit and wasnt happy but then i saw ur vid in my recommended and i thought that this video will for sure show how deficit doesnt even work like the billion other things that dont work because nobody talks abt it lmao
I really liked this video, please make more in the future man
thanks!
I always go autodidact on most of my builds, especially if deepbound or voidwalker. Training weapons is so tedious in depths unless if you're doing hell mode.
But honestly, autodidact is so underrated, at least based on my own experience. It only takes about 4 hours to max power a mage build.
I once went blind on a blindseer pve build, it was hell to get there but I still get use out of it so I’d give it E instead, just for the niche
I progged a whole visionshaper build with the blind flaw. I got nothing that helped improve my vision and it was also deepbound. It was really fun :D
i use autodidact to save 3 investment points every level and intern, saving me exp that i have to grind.
sometimes i forget i have free points and when i figure out that i have some, its the best feeling ever
Glad simple is getting some recognition it's literal only downside is you have to play the game a tinsey bit longer which is apparently too much for 90% of the community
it didnt even work for the first few months of vesres 2 which was cool
Blind can easily be a free point, it just takes practice. Ive gotten to the point where i can sail to TO1, win and get blindseer. Of course getting sent to the depths is a near death sentence but if you know a lot about your surroundings blind isn't that bad. Though i do suggest practicing with a blindfold first before doing a whole blind build.
I’ve been waiting for this video to drop, was thinking of making it in my own!
I really needed this, bro finally
Deficient is only noticeable when you have no Tempo left
Basically, it makes it so that you suffer more against shadow users and in long drawn fights in general
The blind talent isn't that bad, it becomes a free point with gremor and/or blindseer. also it can be funny with friends. I give it D or E
I think scrapper should be S TIER, It saves so many builds. All the best builds NEED scrapper to make sure they get every talent from min-maxing
also btw, primadon and the spider give you insanity in addition to sharko
Fantastic Frontier music makes me feel so nostalgic
6:00 I made a maxed build with Blind (still haven’t got bell almost tho) and can confirm don’t do it best mistake of my life
Being blind in the depths used to be a death sentence since it was just pure black for blind players
Funny how I most of the time go Autodidact with either maverick or scrapper, It's because mass produce builds that come up in my mind
I personally like running autodidact to save time since before I'd say power 12 autodidact DOES let you power up for free since the XP curve doesn't hit as hard and after power 12 I just stockpile points for level 20 and then shove them all in at the end to finish the build
Sly should definitely get a buff, at least have it where you have a higher base reputation with factions when you spawn in.
also packmule doesnt allow u to carry 25 of a food
that happens when you go to a food merchant with 0 of the food item and attempt to buy it, because you have 0 of that item the game doesn''t check to see if you will reach the cap of the food item
so it just lets u buy up to 25 of it, however u cant by 25 of an item if u have a piece of that food in your inventory
my friend who i introduced to the game complained the game is bad and dogshit because it would not load
meanwhile he picked the blind flaw as his new character
bro deficient goated on silentheart builds, like its not like you have any mantras to use ethet with
shhhh dont tell them
survivalist ALSO reduces fall damage (ALLEGEDLY). i pretty much always choose it on characters because i have no problems hitting level 20 and it makes PvE farming that much safer.
idk why but the spider give so much insanity on the depths
the web move gives a ton of insanity
As a blind seer main blind is such a free flaw heck without using blindseer you can negate the effects of glare it’s like the six eyes
I made a blindseer build. I went trial of one and sailed by myself to erisia to get blindseer oath. Fun times
I like autodidact with simple cause it negates the slowest effect of simple at power 20. The only time simple gets annoying is those last 15 points, and you can just save them with autodidact. And also like you said, 3 free power ups
autodidact is actually good for the last 15 levels of your prog because you don’t get talents and those are also the longest to do
That song at the end reminded me of this skiing game I played as a kid
you mean Dead Signal - Elevator Music or Ski Safari 2 - Shop Theme
Next video should be ranking every boon and flaw in real life
This is hella well made, I look forward to next vid even if it takes a possible month or two.
Sometimes the blind flaw is good because it saves you the blindfold when you're going blindseer!
e tier for autodidact considerign the other boons is outrageous 3 levels is huge in trial.
id reckon also using it if youir trying to equip a weapon, like if your power 17 and got all your stuff u just spam ur autodidact points and be able to use your wep
or if your level 20 u just use them
There has never been a point where I dont have event exp with autodidact lol, most of the time i even forget to actually use the pointe
Blind flaw is a boon if you get blindseer, you negate flame blind glare gaze for free + you can wear plague doctor mask thing for free shadow armor
Autodidact can be used to completely ignore power 20, if you save starting from power 15
Whenever I progress a build without simple flaw I swear I progress like 50% slower, also deficient is easily the worst flaw in the game, even though the testing didn't show anything it's painfully obvious the difference it makes in game
fugitive is nice if your a voidwalker since you get jumped regardless
After you’ve become one, that is
they should add more boons and flaws and factions and well new general content
Alrighty, I agree with half your list, but your video was really good so you got the thumbs up flaw from me!
i only cared about boons and flaws in verse 1 ngl thats when they really impacted a build
i always run blind on my blindsear slots so i dont have to go hunting for a blindfold and cause it becomes a free flaw
As a fugitive going down to castle of light its really fun :D
i actually did use blind once unironically it was on a blindseer build with no shrine so i got 40 willpower out of shrine and got blindseer immediately.
adret + autodidact is actually op it gives 6 point every lvl and when you spend these points investment points negate that means you havve 9 ivestment points which leads to faster progression
Fun fact: if you type awesome while watching a video the red bar becomes rainbow
