    Hi, thank you for making this video. Not many things about PhD in France could be found on the Internet. Your sharing is very helpful 🥰🥰🥰 I have one question that I hope you could help me answer it. I'm thinking of doing my PhD under "co-direction", would it be any different then normal PhD? (other than the fact that I will have to reported regularly to 2 supervisors instead of 1)

    I was just rejected from a very cool funded phd position in paris Cité 😢 any tipps on how to find another similar position quickly? It seems there are not many funded positions, so what would be the best way to find a position😊

      Hello, thank you for your question. The basic salary is around 1400-1500 euros for people working in academia. PhD salaries for industrial PhDs are a bit higher (I think around 2000, 2200 euros). There might be some scholarships that offer different salaries, but that would depend on that scholarship itself.

      I didn’t need it as my PhD is in English :) usually if PhD is in English there are no requirements. And it’s possible to survive in Paris without French though it’s useful to learn a bit

    • @beststudenttips
      @beststudenttips  Год назад

      Hello! PhDs in chemistry should be paid. Meaning you should get a salary. Not sure about your particular case. I think 400 euros is not enough to live in Paris. But the best thing is to check with the professor or lab members where you would work. Good luck!

      @@Younger880 Choice of your PhD depends on several aspects. You can find more videos discussing that, such as my latest video. Unpopular opinion, but the french are not as good as many would think. If you want to do a quality Ph.D., move to the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden. AND OF COURSE, SWITZERLAND.
