I am tired of 4C naturals using looser curls oriented products and expecting the same results. Why would i (a 4C) buy natural hair products from Tracee Ellis ?!
I definitely see the fail on the conditioners and shampoo, but I agree with folks that your hair was too dry. I am a bit lost on why you didn’t seal at the end as usual - since you have oils and didn’t get the serums, I assumed you would use a basic oil.
I just got the Strong hold gel, Jojoba oil packet, intensive conditioner w pattern brush. Going back for more, and The heavy or / Med conditioner for my Lil girl.
I don't know if I am going to try Pattern. I was so excited about the line, but the reviews across the board are not overly impressive and the prices are very high. My understanding was this was ten years in the making, instead of selling the towel, brush and clip, some stylers would have been nice. The price of the oils is insane, as naturals we all already have oils and they didn't cost $25. I have many products and any new products that I invest in has to perform better than what I already have. Mad respect for you Traci!
I have 4c hair TO THE EXTREME and I absolutely love the leave in conditioner 😩😩 my hair is left soft and moisturized (I don’t care about definition)🤷🏽♀️. I think I’m the only person on earth who this product actually worked for lol plus it has biotin and honey in it.
Finally a comment that works for me. Lol! I bought a lot of Patterns hair line. The oil is very heavy and I love it, the detangling nectar and curling cream work well for my hair. I do not like the shampoo/conditioner for my hair. The transitioning mask works well for my split ends. And.... lol I bought the clip, brush and pic. The brush broke but the clip/pic are very well made. 👌 I have 4c hair on top and 3b in back.
I know I shouldn’t be laughing at your struggle, but your facial expressions had me DYING!! I knew it was a wrap when the bottle jumped from your hand! 😂😂
I personally have thick black natural hair.. My hair goes down to my stomach almost and she used a lot of product.. You are really only supposed to shampoo your roots esp for curly hair so you only need like two quaters worth and she globbed on so much conditioner..i dont use that much and my hair is thicker and longer..
I never had to have dripping wet hair to detangle it and I have 4C hair as well. I am able to spray it with a water bottle and have my hair wet to touch & add conditioner and I’m fine. Even when she added water she was still struggling
I have 3B/3C natural hair hair and I tried her products too and they were a NO for me too-my hair was dried out with no curl definition so it's not just the "4" ladies who are saying no to it!
I cried 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣so hard when your hair refused to move with the deep condition in it. I tried her deep conditioner 2 ways first I used it as a leave in and had moisturized hair all week, the second time I had my hair soak n wet and used heat and it was aight
13:00 officially SENT ME! That leave-in was so disrespectful! I definitely will not be trying this line hahaha . Thank you for taking one for the team sis 13:52 actually . This is my ghost typing 😭💀
With the heavy conditioner I’ve watched other type 4 reviews on it and it appears that it works better if you add water to it or your hair to make it runny. Dats too much work in my opinion.
I have not tried Pattern but I've watched several reviews and girl, yall are all saying the same thing! Thank you for saving me from wasting my coins!! Always love your videos!!
I really wanted you to love that line too! I love Tracie but from what I observed her products doesn't really work for type 4 hair. I've heard better reviews for type 3..... 🤷🏾♀️
The detangling nectar works without water but I would still use the hydrating mist mixed with water. I love Pattern products not the shampoo or conditioner though, it didn't slip for my hair. I have 4c/3b hair and it's healthy.
Thanks for sharing this. Yes I was rooting for Traci... I have same texture as your hair. When I wash it locks up and I can't even pull apart let alone comb through 😧... Guess I'm still looking for inexpensive product to moisturize in styling and help when detangling!

Lol oh my goodness your face after you took down your braids!! Priceless!
Rhianna is the only celebrity I trust at this moment because sis understands range and inclusivity within the melanin world! She considers and takes care of everyone!
I am tired of 4C naturals using looser curls oriented products and expecting the same results. Why would i (a 4C) buy natural hair products from Tracee Ellis ?!
Exactly! 👏🏿
What do you suggest
She said it was for all types of curly or kinky hair
Mielle, Mane Choice, and Camille Rose are my go tos for my 4c hair
@@justinawolfe1867 oh okay I just got mane choice. Loving it 3 in 1 conditioner.
Please do a vid on the best hydrating products you've used!
I'm high as a kite and you had me rolling!!! LMAOOOOO, your facial expressions though!
I knew it when you posted the survey on instagram 😄 I’ve not seen any 4C sister that this stuff has truly worked for yet.
I definitely see the fail on the conditioners and shampoo, but I agree with folks that your hair was too dry. I am a bit lost on why you didn’t seal at the end as usual - since you have oils and didn’t get the serums, I assumed you would use a basic oil.
Alexandra Y. Agreed.
I agree.
The leave in conditioner paired well with Melanin hair care (Naptural 85 line) styling cream and oil
Chizi please do a moknowshair review. Her line dropped Sally Beauty
Erica Demetrise, a lot of 4c naturals are saying her products are not working for them.
Oh no 😕😕😕
My kitten and I enjoyed your first impression video. He eventually fell asleep to the sound of your voice.
“You know what the best part of this line is?”.... *holds up bottle* “This” 😂😂😂
I just got the Strong hold gel, Jojoba oil packet, intensive conditioner w pattern brush. Going back for more, and The heavy or / Med conditioner for my Lil girl.
You’re too funny Chizi😂😂😂😂😂
Thanks for such a honest review. I thought it was rather on the pricey side, no wonder the travel set sold out so quick.
Tracee ‘all hair types’d’ this product
I don't know if I am going to try Pattern. I was so excited about the line, but the reviews across the board are not overly impressive and the prices are very high. My understanding was this was ten years in the making, instead of selling the towel, brush and clip, some stylers would have been nice. The price of the oils is insane, as naturals we all already have oils and they didn't cost $25. I have many products and any new products that I invest in has to perform better than what I already have. Mad respect for you Traci!
Yea the end results weren’t bad definition wise. Will make a cute puff. What the name of your nail polish you’re wearing here?
YES! I knew it was pattern beauty on ur insta story!!!
meee tooo! 4c reviews are not lovin this!!
Also yes..you need water which is why you shampoo and condition in the shower, not when its dry or lightly damp
This line is for her mixed and racially ambiguous celeb friends 🤣😩
Thanks for going through the struggle & trying her line out for us. I gotta say, I’m not rushing out to buy it after watching your review. 🤷🏾♀️
Uhh 🙄 shouldn’t your hair be wet when you apply conditioner?? Shouldn’t it be at least dripping? Or is it just my own understanding
Exactly!
True but if you watch naturallyphilo and her friend try it in the shower, they had the same problems
Some conditioners and deep conditioners give u slip n slick on dry ass hair ..but yea wet har makes it better too
I never had to have dripping wet hair to detangle it and I have 4C hair as well. I am able to spray it with a water bottle and have my hair wet to touch & add conditioner and I’m fine. Even when she added water she was still struggling
@SM yeah.. Same here. Water no water, conditioner should CONDITION. I never even had to think about wet hair before. Like.. It should just work!
I have 3B/3C natural hair hair and I tried her products too and they were a NO for me too-my hair was dried out with no curl definition so it's not just the "4" ladies who are saying no to it!
Lmaooo! Your face when you took out the braids 😂😂😂
Girl! You are the funniest person on earth. I absolutely love your videos!
Key Richardson I swear I think it’s a moisture cream lmao
@@ChiziDuru I think it needs some slippery elm and some marshmallows root basically some SLIPPAGE
Chizi Duru use it as a leave in, please. Would love to see a twist out with it.
True 4c. Thank you for saving me some cash. I’m going to wait until she has stylers
13:00 officially SENT ME! That leave-in was so disrespectful! I definitely will not be trying this line hahaha . Thank you for taking one for the team sis
13:52 actually . This is my ghost typing 😭💀
I have seen this product reviewed but I have been hoping and praying that you would review it! This is the one we have all been waiting for 😍
With the heavy conditioner I’ve watched other type 4 reviews on it and it appears that it works better if you add water to it or your hair to make it runny.
I can’t see paying more than $10 for something that’s made to be washed down the sink.
Thanks for sharing this. Yes I was rooting for Traci... I have same texture as your hair. When I wash it locks up and I can't even pull apart let alone comb through 😧... Guess I'm still looking for inexpensive product to moisturize in styling and help when detangling!
