I am so happy to see Ben back and performing with y'all. I really hope the anniversary/reunion tour comes to America. I would love to see you guys live again. I think the last time I saw you guys was in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA in 2021 when you opened for Set It Off. Was an amazing show and watching all the bands have fun together
It felt natural when you guys stepped away like idk as a fan it felt like good timing for you guys. It didn't feel abrupt. It's nice to see you guys again and hear you're doing well!
(I know this comment is long, but I need to let it out)
Man, this gave me so many feelings. The way you guys talked about finding identity in more than just “being in As It Is”, and working on well-being and wanting to “work other muscles”.. this entire conversation really hit me, hardcore. As someone who also put their identity fully in music for quite a long time, this gives me comfort to know I haven’t been dealing with this alone. Music (creating, writing, listening, etc) is a HUUUGE part of me and who I am. But I’m still working on acknowledging and reminding myself that it’s not ALL of who I am.. and sometimes you just gotta take a step back and find yourself again. I’ve struggled with dissociative episodes on and off throughout my life, and they’ve started coming back recently. So lately, I’ve really had to focus on stepping back and looking at everything. The world around me, the people and places in my life, the things that make me happy and the things and ideas that get put together and make me who I am.
And it’s been such a surreal feeling, even just acknowledging and looking back on all the different eras of As It Is, and where my love for you guys had started in 2014. So much has changed. So much growth has happened, and my mentality and outlook on life had been influenced and inspired so much by your music. And even though you guys have met and talked with SO MANY people throughout your life as artists and it’s pretty much impossible to keep track and remember them all, I still felt like I had a group of 4-5 brothers/friends overseas that I could turn back to when I needed it the most. You guys have had way more of an impact on my life than any other person ever, in several different ways. Thank you for being real. Thank you for being who you are. Thank you for being expressive and honest. Thank you for your love. I’ve really found myself loving you guys and truly caring about each of you so much, beyond just being a band that I like. When I witnessed you guys separating one person at a time, I felt my heart ache so much. Not just because I wouldn’t be hearing more music from you. But because I was truly worried about how you were doing. I prayed for your well-being. I prayed for your energy and you guys to find joy in any way you could. It hurt to not be able to know whether you guys were really doing ok or not, and I was just hoping each of you as individuals were doing alright and getting the restoration you deserved. I love you guys with all my heart, and I’m so thankful to see you back, and finding your joy in As It Is again! I’m very much looking forward to whenever I get to see you and talk with you again in the US! But until then, I will keep checking social medias for updates and smiling with so much love and joy from another country🥹🖤

Ben, I met you at a random Lights show in like 2018 in Austin, TX and you took the time to chat for a bit and I just want to say I hold that memory very near and dear to my heart.

I remember staying up all night waiting for Never happy ever after to release in high-school, now next week I'll be sharing your music with my Son when he's born. I also got to meet the band at warped tour, and I really hope you guys do a final tour in the USA.
I met you guys at the gates of my first and only Warped Tour in 2015 on my 18th birthday, I'm from Mexico so It was a really big effort to get there. You guys were the main reason why I wanted to go and both of you were so nice and sweet gave me a hug, I got a copy of Never Happy that you guys signed for me and Ben gave me an A// bracelet that I've worn pretty much every day since. I'm 27 now and trying to make my way into the music industry working for labels. Thank you guys for being the soundtrack for me becoming the person I am today.

I still remember hearing you guys for the first time at an acoustic show inside an old church outside London. It was one of my favorite shows I've ever seen. Very intimate and beautiful acoustics, with the crowd singing along angelically. Happy to see you back at it.

As much as I loved patty's RUclips and it's what originally got me in I'd have to disagree with this. I think we can all look back on that chapter of patty's life very fondly with the best memories but the man belongs on stage
@@BronHarris I can understand your logic behind that I just think that at the point that he is doing a podcast and is no longer doing stuff on stage it would make a lot of sense for him to return to RUclips especially since he loved doing it so much or at least he talked about how much he loved doing it in his vlogs I would love to see him come back and continue it especially too because in the last one he ever made he said it was not goodbye but he never came back to it and a lot of RUclipsrs say that it's not goodbye when they stop doing stuff like that but then never come back to it and I think it would show a lot to Patty's character if he actually did come back

So happy you guys are back, I can’t wait to see you live! I became an As It Is fan during the pandemic and I never got the chance to see you, much like Patty with the starting line. This is my chance and I expect when a tour is announced I’ll be going more than once!

Slam Dunk 2016 was a massively formative experience for me! I think that was the first time I really realised I wanted to go into the music industry. Just seeing how something that amazing could be put up, bring people joy, and be taken down all in a day was truly inspiring! I actually met Patty and Ben at a release show for Okay in Kingston while I was studying music business at uni and they were as lovely and genuine as they come across in this video.
Covid upended my life and I'm now on a completely different career path so what Patty said about exercising different mussels really resonates with me! It really shows that the two of you have grown and are in much better places mentally.
I can't wait to be back in Hatfield belting the songs I fell in love with as I was starting out in life 9 years later!

Why did they break up?
It was just time. There was quite a bit of burnout, and their lives led to different things. No hard feelings or disagreements or anything. They all needed time to themselves for different reasons 🙂
