Nanowar (from Italy) are one of the most creative bands ever. Not only are they talented musicians, but they also write lyrics that contain so many clever plays on words. You are correct that this song has an 80s feel to it. Many of their songs are ‘themed’ and are based on different genres of metal music: Heavy Metal Kibbles (Judas Priest vibes), Pasadena 1994 (Sabaton vibes), Valhalleluja (Christian Rock vibes), Norwegian Regaeton (Black metal meets reggae) etc etc. They are just a hilariously talented band and you cannot help but smile after listening to their songs. Nanowar is an italian comedy metal band, if they have a guest they fit the song accordingly, like this Uranus featuring Micheal starr from Steel panther so more 80's vibe, or Pasadena 1994 featuring Joachim Broden from Sabaton, so they made a sabaton style song.

It's a fun song with good play on words though. They often mix in different songs. Besides the BeeGees there was a part of "Age of Aquarius" and also a bit of an AC/DC song.
The guys are from Italy and play music as a hobby. The bassist speaks about 10 languages fluently and has a PhD in astrophysics. Valhallelujah and Norwegian Reggaeton are my favourite ones by them. Buckle up and enjoy the ride.

Nanowar is my favorite band been listening to them for 20 years and they kept getting better. The comedy is a small portion and can cause people to overlook the really thoughtful song writing, excellent musicianship and amazing videos.
I'd recommend reacting to one song by them every month until you get two in a row you didn't think was genuinely awesome
Start with Norwegian Reggaeton and Valhallaluja as that's the pair most begin with nowadays then move on to anything

[Sorry, couldn't resist it!] My two favourites of theirs are _Valhalleluja_ (featuring Angus McFife) and _Pasadena_ _1994_ (featuring Joakim of Sabaton), both have great music videos too. I saw them live in April; a really low-budget show, but loads of fun. My favourite bit was the Wall of Love - like a Wall of Death, but with less blood and broken teeth and more hugging. They were touring with Tragedy, a metal Bee Gees tribute act. Oh, and one of the members of NoS is a professional astronomer...
