@@Lcky-gu2gi absolutely, my instructor told me balintawak has a lot of moves but the basic is so simple, balintawak is so dirty in tactics that will help you win a life and death encounter in street. It is a martial arts of combat not for sport. I'm so lucky to be one of you all.
@@justinvillar7008 also you can incorporate other techniques from judo and boxing. that's why I like it.
@@demon6937 Yeah, true, this makes FMA especially balintawak a perfect ingredients for an all around fighting, it can be with all arts around and a perfect art to combine with any arts you want to learn. That makes Filipino good in boxing as the americans brought the sport of boxing in Philippines, because of Filipino martial arts, Filipino become excellent boxers.
@@justinvillar7008 one of my favorites for boxing counter is to use elbow to "defang a snake" I'm a balintawak practioner before when I was in high school.
