Vermeer master tech here! The air intake bracket is the correct bracket, you just installed the clutch linkage upside down 😅 but you don’t have to be a master tech to know that. You just have to watch the beginning of the video. 1:59 and 44:58
Good to watch someone else replacing these corrupted clutch assemblies supplied to Vermeer by some misfits. The clutch always goes out like this under normal use from not lubricating the sliding grooves on the throughout bearing. Dust accumulates between the PTO output shaft and inside of this throughout bearing that will bind the 4 pins that are supposed to "glide" within the slots of the PTO collar. If you inspect the throughout bearing you will notice that these 4 pins will eventually grind themselves away if not cleaned and lubricated. BTW, Can you supply the part number for the throughout bearing? I don't think you mentioned it in your video. Carolina Clutch does not supply these throughout bearings any longer.
Thank you I appreciate that but also lately we’ve been super busy to her. We’re not able to do video and do our job maybe in the future or start doing it again
@thehydraulicspecialist3176 Thanks for the reply. You helped me get the confidence to pull the Perkins out of my BC1250A that broke the damn input shaft. Talk about some carnage. Appreciate the videos.
Great video! We had the clutch go on one of our 1500s, and this video helped out a ton. Thank you for taking the time to produce it.
Thank you so much you know the pay for our videos is good comments like yours
