    Hey Doug, great video. What is the connection at the wand? Mine came with a 3/8 plug fitting, but I need to convert to a 1/4. What type of fitting is that called?

      On our site is a conversion kit. Basically a 3/8x1/4 reducing bushing then a 1/4 MPT plug

    I HIGHLY recommend skipping the 1.5" non-collapsable hose and just going with a 1.5" blue pool discharge hose. The non-collapsable hose takes up a lot of room and is extremely stiff. It is almost impossible to keep it stretched out and stay where you want it to go with just one person. The pool discharge hose lays flat and will stay wherever you put it and will not move while it is being used. It virtually weighs nothing. I keep my 50ft. of discharge hose in a plastic milk crate with the pump still attached. It has served me WELL for over a year and is a fraction of the cost! I think I got 50ft on Amazon for $20.

      Great points. On our 8GPM that pool discharge hose flips around but on our 4or5 gpm it doesn’t. We do use on the 8 to when we need to extend it

    How would the sludge sucker compare to using a 12v automatic bilge pump and a small battery connected?

    Can we extend the hose if we need to deposit the water further from the problem spot?

    • @PressureCleaningSch
      @PressureCleaningSch  3 года назад +1

      Yes. I’ve used pool discharge hose before. Just have to secure it so it doesn’t flop around like a whirly bird

    Hi Doug, I have a question?
    I’m trying to buy a sludge sucker what nozzle size do you recommend?
    I have an 8gpm pressure washer.
    Thank you 🙏🏼
    By the way Great video

    Shovels rarely kill people. Usually it's a electrical line or gas line they hit with a shovel that kills them. Plus a shovel is $9 lasts a lifetime and requires practically zero upkeep. A pressure washer and pump like that you're talking a couple hundred bucks plus maintenance.
    I admit Pressure washing is a great way to dig if you can afford it.

    Think this will be able to suck sediment out of a spring holding tank? This tank collects water from artisan well. Took 56 years to fill a 750 gallon tank with tiny sediment. Bigger than sand smaller than gravel or pebbles. Mostly 1/8” size rock crumbs. Went through 1 trash pump already. Looking for a new idea.

    Hey Doug, great video as always! Quick question, what size tip size do you advise for a 5.5 3000? I some how have 2 tips smaller than a "red" tip that comes with the j-rod kit. The ones is 0010 and the other one in the sucker is a tad bit smaller.. I don't have it with me to look at the numbers.. thanks for anytime you could spare and we greatly appreciate it

      All depends on the stains you are cleaning. if organic then a light bleach mix. Be careful if oxidized
