I am here after Coke studio to PIYA CALLING; the lyrical content is absolutely fantastic, takes storytelling to a whole new level, and gets the audience into the shoes of the narrator. mind-blowing musicians. I have to also add that the African string instrument on one of the other tracks really took that song to a whole different level of experience for me, great work.

As someone who came to Australia at the age of 20 and after 19 years of living here and having my own family it’s still a constant inner fight to feel at home.
Home is where the heart is but home is also where your roots are and no matter how hard we try, one day in this foreign land those roots will disappear eventually, so we try to hang on to it for as long as we can. 😢
@karpe this song has touched home. Thank you being such amazing storytellers and for being a voice of immigrants all over the world. ❤

Elsker dig Chirag. Også dig Magdi. I er nogle kæmpe stjerner

I cried after hearing my language Gujarati in the new song Piya Piya Calling from Coke studio Pakistan as we hardly get representation in Music. I had to find out who this man was and low and behold it was Chirag Patel. I can't believe that another Gujarati is one of the biggest superstars of Norway. Would love see to Chirag include more Gujarati lyrics in songs. I'm now a huge fan of y'all, sending so much love to Chirag and Magdi. We love you both so much❤❤

Karpe Diem's songs are some of the most well-written and thought-provoking in all of hip hop. Their lyrics are full of social and political commentary, and they often explore difficult and taboo subjects. Their music is also incredibly catchy and well-produced, making them one of the most popular rap groups in Norway.

Your song resonates deeply with me. Though I only grasp the word 'Baraf' from its lyrics, the emotions it carries transcend language. Whether through my laptop or phone, each time I listen, I feel transported to a concert, experiencing the ache of being an immigrant in a foreign land.
It moves me to tears every time, prompting my wife to wonder why I'm so moved by the same song on repeat.
Chirag bhai, witnessing your mother's tears and your father's proud yet emotional stance stirs profound emotions within me.
This song beautifully pays homage and serves as a voice for immigrants worldwide.

I feel so bad that as humans we get so oblivious about the struggles of our fellows who are trying to grapple with a different reality in a strange land making it a home, being grateful for everything the new strange land provides and yet trying to understand where exactly do they belong. What a 🔥 track! Props to Coke Studios Pak -- the crowd spanning so many ages and races, some people you definitely don't expect resonates w when Xulfi (from Coke Studios) said "they make music that makes people cry" ...you can tell that ppl are connecting to them beyond just music, it's almost creating a safe place for people who are "different" in strange lands. Alhamdulillah

everytime i hear this song i just have to cry, it really resonates deeply with people who know how it is to have love and trauma at the same time in ther families. Incredible how they capture that feeling❤️
