You have done an AMAZING job of re potting :-) Such a FANTASTIC video you have made :-) Sending tons of love from Ireland and thank you so much for sharing and have an AMAZING Sunday ahead today XXXXX
Thank you! :) I was inspired by Brad's videos (from Brad's Greenhouse channel) about repotting paphiopedilums. I don't have many paphs, only this one and a paph.primulinum. Actually I sold the one from this video at a meeting from our orchid society, so I only have one now. Happy Holidays! :)
nice potting , i did buy 3 different kind of lady slippers and it has no healthy root almost rootless and i learn something in your video how to repot, thanks
Hi im so scared to repot this. I watched this video and a few other from brad thanks so much for sharing. It made me a litte more comfortable to repot. But how do i distinguish tje death.from the live ones? I did not had any green root tips but they lool verry nice and hairy but some looked woody.. are the woods ones the old death ones? Kind regards rose 🌹
I'm so sorry it took me so long to reply. I have been away from youtube for some time. The roots of paphiopedilums are often a little woody, and they aren't too flexible, so they can break more easily, Often they don't have green tips. The younger roots are lighter brow, and the older are very dark sometimes. Sometimes I thought a root was dead, and when I cut it off, I saw it was alive inside, so accidents can happen. But usually dead roots are mushy. I like Brad's videos too, and I got inspiration from his videos. :) Happy Holidays!
Thank you, Mary! No, it hasn't bloomed again yet. It has grown more leaves, but it's such a slow grower. If the leaves weren't so pretty, it would be the most boring of my orchids 😊
MaryG Orchids I like the leaves a lot. Mine takes so long to bloom, that I try to forget that it can bloom, and try to think of it as just a green houseplant, so I don't feel disappointed. I bought it in 2013 and it was in bloom. After that, it produced 2 new growths, and they have been growing very slowly ever since, and I'm still waiting for them to make flower spikes. Maybe next year. They started to do something this autumn and I thought it would be finally spikes, but no, just leaves again...
+Orchids & a Dutchy joo tykkäsin.
Since I just bought a path I'm doing a little homework thank you for the information. I've never seen your Channel you're very welcome to come visit me in mine. 👉👵👈

Orchids & a Dutchy I love the leaves. I am buying one mostly for its leaves.

+PyyhekumiKola Hienoa! :) Ostin omani pari vuotta sitten näyttelystä, Currlinilta. :) Mitä mieltä olit näyttelystä? Tykkäsitkö?
