    The feeling follows you because there’s nobody to change but self. Same with tarot, horoscopes, etc. they aren’t any power, they just reflect what’s already in your mind which you have the power to redirect.

    Who also skips the "this is sponsored by" parts of every vlog on RUclips? It became a sport to hit the part exactly where the vlog begins. I do that cause to be honest I never had one advertisement that was eventually a benefit for me. Never purchased anything from an advertisement from a RUclips channel. Most products are impossible for me to get anyway cause I live in another country but I mostly watched English talking people on RUclips. But I always skip the "this is sponsored by" parts. I know the person who is sponsored by a company still earn their money, Ben though I don't watch the information 😁

    So happy that you have your partner back! I 100% feel the funk. I feel like I’ve found comfort in your videos the past 6 months because mentally things have been tough. & not that I want anyone else to go through this, but you’ve been like the only person I’ve been able to relate too.     Same here Renee! You are doing the best you can and that is enough💗. As a therapist, I’m glad you are getting back to therapy. It is so helpful but can take awhile to connect with the right person. One thing that helps me is Super Soul Sunday on OWN. Not sure if you are an Oprah fan but I find these episodes to really lift my mood😊

    It seems a lot of people are in a bit of a funk, really... I think the covid situation all over the world isn't helping at all - it seems to have affected so many people in terms of mood, motivation, sense of future and goals... I think all we can do for now is take it one day at a time and see how it goes. So glad you posted when you did :-) xxxx

    Renee, you're not letting life flow! You're planning everything else and when it doesn't go that way you become upset! If you made that intention to be happy, then you have to truly mean it, and that means that if you're not following a plan and you're just doing things on a whim because that's what the day holds, then you should be happy with that. You can plan as much as you want and sometimes life just won't go according to your plan. That's part of the reason why you have anxiety and you're so stressed out. Let go of making plans, let go of sticking to those plans, you're going to get everything that you want on that list for as long as you can take it easy! Cut yourself some slack and give yourself a break!

    Hey girl! I 100% hear you on the “just not happy” feeling. I almost wonder if it has to do with moving and having to find your groove. I have moved a lot over the past 9 years (6x’s for work) and after all the excitement of a new place, new city, new decorations and furniture etc. calms down, you’re kind of stuck with “what do I do now”? “Where do I go?” “What do I do everyday?” I find those feeling pop up more when you work from home (as a lot of us are doing) because you really don’t have to stick to a routine if you don’t want to and you have a lot of free time. I am feeling the same. I don’t have anywhere to go during the day. If I want to stay in sweats all day, I can. It’s just not a good feeling. I have started listening to “Atomic Habits”. I want to believe habits and routine are key. I’m hoping to start a morning routine with activities that make me happy and do them EVERY 👏🏻SINGLE 👏🏻 DAY 👏🏻! Get up, coffee, gratitude, exercise, go for a 20 min walk outside - this is my meditation time (I pick a color and then as I walk, I try to find something in that color or I look for something new to photograph and share with my friends - on social - who don’t live in my city. Etc) breakfast, get ready, then depending on the day it’s either errands, find a new site to see in my new city, learn something new, or cuddle up and read a non-fiction book. Hope you find your routine and peace of mind. Hugs! 🤗

    I do my own tarot card readings when I need to clarify my thoughts and get some direction I have done this for years it really helps, I journal my readings so I can look back on them. Keep up the good work your doing great. Love from the 🇬🇧 UK always supporting.

    I do tarot not often but some times I sometimes do 3 cards 1 for past 1 for now and 1 for the future or I do a keltic cross that is one that is more broad but the last one I did was soooooo on point ! I just cried ! I right every time down witch cards I draw and what I get out of it love it and know myself beter because of it. Also meditation ! Help me so much I have a app with meditation music and I just sit stil 15 minutes focus on breathing and clearing my mind and just be..... hope it helps you

    I love tarot. I pick a few cards every morning to focus on for the day. Also I just downloaded the new Chopra app for meditation (the black and white app icon one). Loving it so much. 💜 take care of yourself. It’s a tough year..

    I agree. I've been feeling the same way. It has alot to do with everything going on in the world. When you have your life in alignment and balanced, it tends to make you feel much more motivated. As far as tarot cards, that is divination and it's best not to mess with it. It will open up a spiritual realm that is not of the Lord. Your spiritual growth is so important and affects every aspect of your life. With everything going on in the world, it's critical to choose what you listen to with discernment and wisdom.

    If you're going back home soon and want to get out in nature, I suggest the Everglades while it's still the wet season. I went down there last month to film "the river of grass" and alligator hatchlings and it was downright therapeutic - really the best time I've had all 2020. lol. I'm sorry you're still experiencing a funk, but be careful not to put too much pressure on yourself to be happy no matter what. It's ok to not feel a sense of happiness 24/7, you're human and don't beat yourself up for feeling some type of way. Your emotions are 100% valid, and it's ok to feel them. Much love from FL!

    It’s normal, don’t feel bad about it! It’s the pandemic and everything else that happened to you this year. I love that you keep your content real! buuuuut, I really feel you should focus on getting a job and working with people, it would really change your life.     I am starting to like Renee more when she said tarot cards. Go for it gurl. I am coming out of mild anxiety mode and these pick a card readings and tarot cards have helped me stay strong the entire time.I ordered couple of tarot and oracle cards for myself and if you believe in them,they are of immense help ! Also ,if you haven't done already you can try calling psychics too.I spoke to them for 10 minutes a week ,I used all those keen offers (thanks youtubers) and the sessions were more of a therapy feel good session.

    I completely feel the same. And you're doing great. There is no wrong or right way to be right now. But I just have come to terms with the fact I can't make any outcome happen faster in the world. So I am busying myself with learning a language (Korean!) and it's giving me a lot of time to focus on getting my head elsewhere. And I'm really enjoying it. While my head is remembering certain letters and sounds I cannot possibly be thinking about elections and vaccines and wildfires that give me anxiety.

    The main thing is you recognise what’s happening and you are actively looking for concrete life solutions! And for sure, these will help you, But please be patient with yourself. You’ve been through a lot emotionally. Think of this as having a broken leg, if your leg was broken you’d know not to run immediately. You are such an intelligent lady, you got this! But sometimes with mental health we need to accept things and that sometimes makes it easier to deal. Anyways, I hope I’m not sounding preachy, just saying things from personal experience. Big hug! ❤️

    Highly recommend the podcast Shrink Chicks if your having a hard time getting into therapy right now. It’s definitely not a replacement for therapy but I have had some great aha moments in addition to therapy.

    Renee I recommend you to watch "anne with an e" althought it is very emotional the main charachter is very bright and also no matter what happens in her life she always finds the brighter side of things. I really liked her view to the world it really helped me to look at the world differently

    I wouldn't be surprised if it's the adapting to the energy of a different human being living with you. Usually a funk is when you're worried that something new (even if temporary) that adds 'pressure' to your life is going to be permanent.

    Hey Renee! In terms of your "environment" point, New York has a lot to offer not far outside of the city.
    Beaches -
    Rockaway beach in Queens is nice. Long Island has beautiful beaches as well - you can take the Long island Railroad from Penn station and get there within the hour
    Long island also has a lot of beautiful parks and nature trails you can adventure too. You can also go north of the city and go hiking in the mountains. Bear Mountain is not far from NYC
    I've lived in new York my whole life and love it because it offers city life, beach life, and mountain life all in one :) definitely check out these things when you can!

    One thing I do for my spirituality that makes me feel so close with people who aren't in my life anymore or passed away, I like to read any books they mentioned or loved. Bonus points if it is their copy of said book. There is some type of magic that stays in the pages and as you read them, turning the pages they turned and reading the words as they did, you can get to a really interesting head space that way. I cry everytime, but some things just hit differently when you read them in that little magic bubble. I have had countless epiphanies while reading this way too. And also I reread Harry Potter, Catch-22, and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy once a year. Those books all hit harder each time I reread them. Harry Potter especially. I couldn't really appriciate the whole sides of the book until I lost my parent and my other parent turned into a Dursley. Gave me viewpoints on the story I never thought I would see from. And the whole story is about love triumphing over death. Those books always give me a clear head and heart after reading. Anyways just some book witch magic! That is the closest thing I do to spirituality and religion, but damn it is really something.

    Renee, I love it that you mentioned Tarot. A friend of mine showed me this channel called Quitest Revolution at one of the difficult moments in my life and that specific reading really resonated with me. I delved into Tarot as a way of clarifying my life path. Carl Jung has a book called the Hero's Journey that ties it all together. Our life is a journey with people, events and surcumstances making sense through visual archetypes. Cards painted that story for me, it can be a tool of solving problems too. I need to start playing with my cards again. Thank you for bringing it up
    Correction: Joseph Campbell was the author of The Hero's Journey. His work was deeply influenced by Carl Jung theory that the inner life of the human being is visual. Jung's view was that we process experiences by the flow of energies.

    Girl, you need to dance! It's impossible to be in a funk when you're dancing! There are lots of online dance classes right now. I know you have a small space, but push your couch back to the kitchen cabinets, move your coffee table and bust a move! Maybe a couples dance class would be fun for you and Noah? I'm sure you'll feel a boost immediately! xo

    this is probably super obvious, but are you taking Vitamin D? Since you're inside so much, it may really help you! Also, magnesium can naturally help that "cloud above your head" mood. Thank you for sharing all aspects of your life. The realness is what keeps me coming back. I'm so over the highlight reels on other channels :)

    I think your suffering from low grade depression. Im glad your exercising, because that can help a lot. I would try to get out. Take a walk in the park or go to stores (as much as you can) instead of ordering online. Being in a different setting and interacting with people and be helpful too. Even when seeking therapy, try speaking with someone in person. It is much too easy to isolate and do everything over the computer.

    I think being outside more will help you out of your rut:) but I get you about being happy on your own. It’s really harder than it sounds. Tarot is fun and if you can find them, oracle angel decks! Which tarot deck did you end up buying?

    I'm not plugging it or anything, but Better Help has been great for me. I was doing it before the pandemic just because of traveling and whatnot and I've been with the same therapist now for almost 2 years. I had to do a little research when I signed up for it so I could check out all the counselors associated with Better Help because I wasn't really a fan of being assigned like a social worker, if that makes sense, because I feel like I really wanted someone with a super ton of experience. It did take a few days of looking around and reaching out to people but in the end, I got a really good match and I've been happy. Just a suggestion. xoxo

    Hi Renee, as a psychologist, I just wanted to let you know that reviews on therapists are not something you can count on because the relationship with the therapist is different for every person and a "bad relation" with a therapist does not mean that you'll also have this bad relation, the best thing to do is just to try and to take an appointment with the therapist, to know if you like him/her or not :) In my practice, sometimes people did not retake an appointment with me because I didn't suit them while I have a really strong connection with others, that's normal in a psychotherapy ! :)
    I hope with all my heart that you're gonna be okay, love from Europe!

    Instead of therapy, you could also try to find a law of attraction coach/transformation coach/happiness coach. It's more affordable usually and sometimes good to get outside of the medical realm of modern psychology/psychiatry.

    I think it's the mental tooll of the pandemic that's hitting us. Like the change that was forced on us and that we're not used to still. We didn't realize how much it affected us. I too am feeling like you are, I feel you. I'm so terrible emotional and feeling blah like you said without any explanation behind it!
