Another amazing podcast James👏🏼... God love Neil he seems as tho he is a shell of himself!!!! He was such a young man to go through all that and that would change anyone you would lose yourself.. Takes a certain type of person to be able to do that job and be undercover xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
One of my fave interviews, gripping start to finish. Very interesting points of view with real experience to back it up, this guy isn't just parroting text or imposing a view from an ivory tower or anything like that, it really wakes up the issue. Before this I was against legalising drugs. I am not saying I am 100% convinced but it's certainly woken me up to the idea... this guy isn't talking shite, he is someone clearly worth listening to! Whilst watching this I thought of another thing we should be doing is ensuring education of child exploitation is done early on in schools... if a lot of adults turn to hard drugs as they are dealing with abuse from childhood, we really need to make it normal for a child to have somewhere to go and and freely tell someone what someone may be doing to them; if people can be afraid that children cannot be pressured or scared to tell someone uncomfortable things, maybe we can stop many of them being absued and then taking the path into drugs too. Fantastic interview!!! Get this man on Question Time and all those mainstream broadcasts... would love to see him do exactly what he did here and calmly wake everybody up; the MPs from their ivory towers wouldn't be able to put the lid back on.
This man is so full of wisdom! Legalizing all drugs is the best way to combat violent gangs and cartels. As an example, here in Seattle, cannabis has been legal for a few years and many of the old dealers set up their own stores selling a slew of cannabis products including tonics, creams, pills, juice for “shots”etc. Gone is that often violent underground market. It’s a new industry that is legal and the stores are very friendly and respectable. Now instead of committing crimes by distributing drugs, these guys do it as businessmen. All their staff are very knowledgeable and provide advice about their products. In fact, often when you shop in these stores they are full of the older generation picking up creams for arthritis etc☺️
A really interesting interview. I have a reservation based on all those who say decriminalise drugs etc. Many say it’s their body and that they are not hurting anyone. The tax paying worker picks up the bill for the NHS. They are hurting our pockets and overloading the NHS. I was recently in a hospital after a car crash. Going though the emergency sections was an eye opener. In every cubical around me was someone brought in through drug abuse. Whilst there, I spoke to a senior nurse who works all over the world due to her geologist husband. She said that weekends are worse as they are filled with drug related patients from age 7 to 70. She once wanted to live in the U.K. but said if the NHS is representative of society, she would not want to raise a family here. She has seen a massive decline over the last decade.
In britain the health service is not over run with drug addicts that have overdosed , the bigger problems are boozed up idiots who cant have a drink without hurting someone or themselves , the shortage of staff caused by government cuts , the massive amount of immigrants and asylum seekers that are coming into the country every year , legally and illegally , and have been for a long time. This country needs more hospitals and doctors surgerys, more doctors and nurses , more money invested in the whole of the nhs
@@markcarlon8558 totally agree with you in regards to the booze. Alcohol is probably the worst drug out there. I would say that if it had been invented recently it would be made illegal.

I watched this a few times but forgot to comment. A seriously great interview. I like the difference of opinions but also like how they managed to maintain respect and kept the conversation flowing. I think the undercover police man seems like a likeable man. I like his honesty and he actually seems to know what he is talking about. Straight truths and no BS. These interviews are the reason I subscribed. 👊💯
It was 1964 when I was stood in Piccadili Circus London. I saw that the 'all night Boots chemist' had a queue outside. Pusseled by this I asked a local why the queue? He answered "they are all drug addicts from a couple of miles around" they were about 12 in number. Taking their 'next day' prescription to claim the drug prescribed by their doctor. This practice was stopped by the government shortly after. Piccadili is now filled any night with addicts and so is all other popular places, and every other town in Britain. This ex cop is dead right.

I hope so, and that wherever you are it does you as much good as your original message did me. All the best to you mate, R.
Gangsters won't come after him,,well sane ones anyway..it was his job and if you live a life of crime it's all in the game
Exactly
So he himself somehow not in the game?
It's all in the game man,the wire
Yeah I hate the uniform not the man behind it. If u get gripped you've been caught slipping full stop
Aye in Baltimore
I know first hand how addiction over decades ruin lives and how illegal markets work. It’s very satisfying to hear somebody who really knows what he’s talking about because most people dealing professional with drugs (politicians, police, doctors,...) don’t really know what they are talking about. Very good interview
Thank you
I must say JAMES ENGLISH is fantastic. A really good interviewer. He should have a BBC /c4 program.
Fuk the BBC, there part of the problem oh aye and they harbour peados n fire the whistle blowers....the British Brainwash Corporation
I'm working my way through all the guests you've been talking with & by far this has been one of the best conversation. brilliant keep up the good work & folk will watch.
Thanks for this interview.
To Neil Woods, you are a great man, you have an amazing heart and I wish you the best in life.
It's a shame you're not still in policing. All the amazing people that have been involved in UK policing always seem to leave, if only there were more of you on active duty.
You're a smart man and I hope you can affect real change. Thanks again.
👍🏼
I’ve just come across this channel and video...mate I’m hooked.. this was a quality interview and I’ve watched for hours since yesterday. Had to come back to this (my first view) and say how much sense this bloke talks and how, when laid out in easy to understand terms, more peoples mindset may change
Gordon W 👍🏼
Well done. good interview some good interesting questions. looking forward to more 👍🏼🏴good interviewer
Came across your channel yesterday and just love it! The humility and care is amazing!
Thank you
@Missy boo Very true, there's a lot of patience and genuine care. I watched the Danniella one too, thought it was amazing. 🙂
Totally awesome interview. Neil makes so many good points. Before watching, I thought "interesting subject, but no way am I watching an hour and a half". Clicked and was hooked.
Do you know what James, this is the second time I’ve watched this interview and I know it was 3 years ago but I don’t think it’s given enough credit, it really is fantastic eye opening interview this
Thanks Paul ❤️
Outstanding and genuine interview this.
Thanks 👍🏼
I just want to say after watching this episode, what a tremendous conversation and grand work from the both of you to deliver such a wonderful bit of content.
Thanks
@@JamesEnglish Thanks for taking the time to respond with your undoubtedly busy lifestyle too! What a guy!
Hopefully, one day, I'll create a platform large enough that I could interest you in being across the table. 😅👍
Very interesting and extremely educational . . Absolutely loved this interview . . Thank you
Incredibly honest. Truly refreshing and logical. What a podcast
Brilliant interview. I seriously learned a lot. It explains a lot thanks
This guest needs to be running for a political position within the UK. He understands his own deficiencies as well as the ones your communities are facing regarding crime. Knowing where your lacking to bring in advisors while having a good grasp on what needs to be done in your communities is an amazing combination. His empathy is something that will also be a huge benefit to all those he impacts with policies.
They're is No war on drug's. It's all a smoke screen, Government control it coming into most country's.. Anyways Thanks for the upload James. Keep doing your vids mate
Jay Lamb naw no war but when your numbers up and your doing 7 you realise there’s a war a fking dirty one
Jay Lamb that is spot on. CIA mi6 they are all covers for drug traffickers
Deffo hear now mate
You're absolutely right there never ever was A-war on drugs a big a** smoke screen or government's dirty As h*** it makes me sick I feel safer with the mafia round our government is one huge dirty a** mafia
America used drug to fund for war. Flooding drug in miami, new york etc. Of course the UK governmen does the same..people need to get their heads out of their ass and stop thinking UK is great
I’m so fortunate that my father taught me good ethics. It’s a blessing but at times a curse - to watch others harm themselves and others.
That was brilliant and it’s the first time I’ve heard someone else think the same as me.
Without doubt the best interview I’ve heard. Bravo to both of you. Outstanding.
Thanks Paul
James English no James, thank you, sir. Might be a long shot, but could you do Albert reading ? If he’s still alive. Liam galvin interviewed him a while back, not sure if you’ve seen it
😂His house hadn’t been so clean... your laugh James got me laughing me out loud 🤣 X
Hasnt James just got one infectious dynamite laugh.. i love his interviews..now hes a nikey wearing scally 😂😂😂😂😂😂 ❤⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Brilliant guest James 👏
I really enjoyed this guy's story.
To go from Big Marvin to him just shows the diversity of the show.
Absolutely loving my Sundays with Anything goes 😁
Great interview, fascinating subject
such a brilliant channel. Real reflection on how good James is!!!
Thank you
Two thumbs up man that was an awesome interview
One of the best interviews I've seen, powerful stuff.
Cheers Steve
Another interview I really rate. Cop was honest about his regrets and trying to change things for the better. James so much better than some poncey public school bbc journalist. He kens the score!
Cheers mik
I was truly amazed at the quality of this video its content the presenter and the guest. It should be more accessible to MSM.
Thank you
Another amazing podcast James👏🏼... God love Neil he seems as tho he is a shell of himself!!!! He was such a young man to go through all that and that would change anyone you would lose yourself.. Takes a certain type of person to be able to do that job and be undercover xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Excellent pod. It all makes so much sense. Great job
As an example, here in
Seattle, cannabis has been legal for a few years and many of the old dealers set up their own stores selling a slew of cannabis products including tonics, creams, pills, juice for “shots”etc.
You're never going to win an argument about drugs with this fella James 😂😂
This was really interesting to listen to, great questions James and keep up the fantastic work.
This is a amazing interview. Since a youth I have ALWAYs loved the uk. I wish I could move there.
-your bro from across the pond
Thank you 👍🏼
If you don't mind working, you'd be welcome bro.
He answered every question with a personal & professional answer. Fantastic interview. All the best lads, keep er lit.
*i wish our voter and trusted Members of parliament could do the same
just finished his book, would defo recommend reading it,
Brilliant interview, says a lot about why society is the way it is, a big reality check, made a lot of sense. Thanks James and Neil.
Google the queen and the missing mohawk children, for a better reality check;)
I'd love to see a conversation between Neil Woods and Peter Hitchens.
Best interview to date. Very candid, honest and knowledgeable man 👍
A really interesting interview.
@@markcarlon8558 more than half of your doctors are probably immigrants.
@@markcarlon8558 totally agree with you in regards to the booze. Alcohol is probably the worst drug out there. I would say that if it had been invented recently it would be made illegal.
They're (we are actually. Full disclosure, I'm an addict) in hospital BECAUSE drugs are illegal.
tremendous podcasts james, u have kept me going through the lockdown, i have been stuck in colombia since march[no flights], anyway great stuff james, keep up the good work
Honest open interview.
👍🏼
I watched this a few times but forgot to comment. A seriously great interview. I like the difference of opinions but also like how they managed to maintain respect and kept the conversation flowing. I think the undercover police man seems like a likeable man. I like his honesty and he actually seems to know what he is talking about. Straight truths and no BS. These interviews are the reason I subscribed. 👊💯
When your elderly relative buys you a top and your mum says you need to wear it so she’s not upset 😂
Another belter of a interview lad keep them coming 👍👍
Thanks Paul
It was 1964 when I was stood in Piccadili Circus London. I saw that the 'all night Boots chemist' had a queue outside. Pusseled by this I asked a local why the queue? He answered "they are all drug addicts from a couple of miles around" they were about 12 in number. Taking their 'next day' prescription to claim the drug prescribed by their doctor.
This practice was stopped by the government shortly after.
Piccadili is now filled any night with addicts and so is all other popular places, and every other town in Britain.
This ex cop is dead right.
Brilliant interview. I know it would never happen but would love to see this guy back on with someone who was involved in organised crime, see what they had to say to each other
