Hello I reviewed Major Minor's Majestic March on RUclips 4 years ago... SO SO GLAD to see lots more information on development and secrets of the game! I wanted some clarification on some things, for I plan on making a future return video to the game. - When you say anime... Do you mean the cutscenes? Or was there a dedicated promotional anime for the game. - You referenced early concepts on a character called Major Mike, where did you get that image with that art? (Anymore info on that iteration of the game?) Really appreciate your work and being a hardcore fan of the game 🤍
Hi! Your review always stuck out to me as being the only one that didn't claim this game to be completely irredeemable, lol. The fact that you managed to find one of my videos is wild to me Yes, there was actually an anime made. It's currently lost media. It was a series of shorts that aired on TV from April 19th to 21st 2009 called "Meja-Maji Quiz" that would ask the viewers trivia questions, I assume about marching bands. It was on the website back in it's old url, but was never archived on the wayback machine or anywhere on the internet. www.destructoid.com/major-minors-majestic-march-gets-a-anime-shorts-series/ is one of the English sources on it Major Mike appeared in the announcement panel, www.wired.com/2008/02/dice-matsuura/ and never again after that. It probably didn't last very long, but along with that version there was a scrapped German Shepard character without a name
@@royalblanket I'm glad you enjoyed the video, it was one of the first ones where I put time and effort into. I even released today a video with a Major Minor's Majestic March reference I still believe what I said back then, the game deserves a second chance. It's not all bad, lots of good ideas, sad to see it all go to waste. Thanks for all the information though, I didn't know about this before. Interesting that there was a promotional anime... I guess we need to hope someone saved it back then and still has it. Also I do like the Major Mike take on the game, it looks nice as well. I guess they were going with a toy marching band style from what it seems, like the nutcracker.
At around 7:11 i meant to say anime instead of cutscenes, welp
8:09 When the bisexual marcher gives you that nonbinary stare /ref
(I added /ref because it's a reference to barista from Family Guy meme)
my favourite is the giant epf fursona in stage 6
and the kappa fount
and with the .waf files i mean the music, the cutscenes are in the scenario folder, scene 1 is pretty cursed
also im sorry but i think that eating the cables are not computer knowledge
and thanks now slender tom will haunt me forever, hope he'll fight sousa
since the cutscenes are bin files, do I have to do something similar to the stages to extract them?
