Really enjoyed this video! I'm in love with everything pink right now! 💕
Ahh thank you so much! In my latest podcast I talk about a knit-along I’m hosting with @abigail.makes.stuff. For anyone who wants to knit something pink 💕
Glad to have found you. I’m in Australia so currently knitting warm tops but love the POP and great to some fab summer ideas.
Ahh thank you and hello! I think POP can be year round :) Who doesn't love a pink sweater or cardigan?
Watching this while knitting pink socks - I've been influenced! I just inadvertently found this pink yarn from a dyer local to me (Yarntuary, central Virginia) and thought "I don't do pink that much, let's do that." I guess I'm not the only one it's happening to! Love your channel!
Thank you so much! I have a pair of pink socks in the go as well, but they’ve been put to the side in favour of my testknits 😂 thanks for the love!
Love ur podcast ❤❤❤🤩
Ahh thank you so much!
Also found you via high fibre knits - this was such a fun video! Totally agree about the summer of POP, I’m seeing it everywhere. So far my only hot pink knitting plans are a pair of socks but we’ll see if I cave and make more!
(Also, I love finding more Canadian RUclipsrs! 👋)
Welcome! And lovely to meet another Canadian 😊 pink socks are fun! I have a pair as WIP on ice that I’ll hopefully get to but I’ve been pulled by the garments 😂
Thanks great video.
Thank you 😊
I’m loving the pop of color so much! So fun :)
Ahh thank you 😊 I’ll be hosting a summerofPOP knit along soon!
Just stumbled upon your video (thanks algorithm!) Love your energy - will be back for more!
Thank you 😊 that means so much! I’ll have my next podcast episode out next week!
Happy to have found you (through High Fibre Knits). 62yr-old granny here...lol, didnt know about the Barbie movie, but I love wearing pink, especially loving the bright pinks! I seem to see it paired with bright orange a lot. I will be knitting a fuchsia/orange Robinia at the beginning of Fall. I get the feeling you may be in Ontario?...hello from down near Lake Erie 💗💖💕
Hello and welcome:) High Fibre Knits is awesome and we're actually meeting up next week in person :) I'm located close to Kingston, but I've also lived in Toronto and Thunder Bay. Lake Erie is the one Canadian Great Lake I haven't spent much time on (My grandparents live on Lake Huron). I've been tempted by orange this summer too. I have a nice coral cotton/merino I'm hoping I'll have time to get to this summer.
Hi Paige. Thoroughly enjoyed your review and "observations". I'm currently knitting the Violet (tee), and about to cast on the Tolsta Tee. (I also know what you mean about getting something "new to you" but then seeing it everywhere!!!). I'm happily in my mid-50s but planning to go to see the Barbie movie next week when it opens here in the UK.... "summer of POP" - 1,348 times?!!!!!! Look forward to your next episode.
Ahh thank you for the lovely comment! I know I said “summer of POP” so many times and I’ll continue to say it because I may or may not have a knit along coming up with @abigail.makes.stuff and I feel like tees are a must this summer and will turn into a great year round piece! What colour are you planning for your tomato tee?
Loved this analysis! I was recently thinking about what the color of the season was and you’ve nailed it! I’ve been making notes for my own knitting trends video, and it’s so interesting how different people catch different things!
Thanks! I look forward to seeing your trend video. It is fun to see what different people gravitate towards. I know I'm on high pink alert at the moment.
PoP must be online or just starting as I am not seeing a lot of bright pink at my local yarn stores…
I think it's mostly been an instagram thing. I get most of my inspiration from instagram :) t, but maybe local yarn stores will have more pink in the future?
I'm sure pink is in but I don't know if I can bring myself to wear something bright pink! Instead I'm knitting in navy and just ordered some gray and olive colors for more tees.
Those are great colours! I have a few projects planned in them as well but likely won't get to them until the fall!
I'm definetelly going with trend this summer :D
I just started Sonya Shirt (in pink) and I'm planning to make an oversized stripy dress in hot pink and orange (so summer POP is here :D )
Those sound amazing!!! Summer of POP 💕
What’s the name of the designer for the v-neck boxy tee? You said it so fast I couldn’t hear what you said and I went back to hear it again a few times.
I’ve also been into pink this year, too!
Her name is Garnogslikt and the pattern is the Hortensia Tee which I’m actually testing😊 and thanks for the feedback I’m going to work on slowing down a bit more! I can also add text for patterns and designers 🥰
The ruffle top? When will that he available? What designer? Did i miss the link
It is currently a project she is working on. There hasn't been a testing call yet and I'm not sure it has a name... But the designer is Knitharina here is her website www.knitharina.at/
Love the content and your energy! Wish you could slow down though, find I miss a lot of what you are saying and I don't want to 😍
Thanks for that feedback! I will work on it :) I know I talk fast when I get excited haha, but as a future teacher speaking at a rate my students will understand is so important! And of course I want my viewers to enjoy their watch and be able to understand everything :)
What's the name of the designer of the ruffle top again? Thx for the great inspo!
Knitharina is her handle on instagram here is her website www.knitharina.at/english her chain sweater is in my queue 😊
Not sure you realize how fast you talk, sometimes hard to follow
Thanks for that feedback! I'll be conscious of that moving forward :) I hope you were able to enjoy most of the video :)
Gentle reminder: RUclips has playback speed settings that can be a great help if creators speak to quickly or too slowly for your preferences.
i have been a pink kinda gal for ages, knitting myself a POP tee and tank!
Ooh I love that!! I’m hosting a POP knit along soon! What patterns are you using?
Love the pink yarn you picked 😍✨✨
Thank you 😊 I’ve since knitted a swatch and I love it
I am knitting Mojave in fuchsia (together with Mojave flamingo pink, coral and natural striped Tolsta. I am right now doing hem ribbing.
That sounds amazing! I'd love to see a picture :)
I think the trend of popping colors is not linked to the barbie movie because it started earlier then the movie was announced (25th of may) and popping colours are trendy every few years. Don‘t get me wrong: Having a break of all the lovely neutrals is needed from time to time.
Yes I agree I’ve been seeing some pops of pink since the winter, but this spring/summer I feel like it’s taken off and couldn’t help that comment on the correlation between the pink and Barbie 😂
New subscriber 🙋♀I just love your energy so much. Also, love finding and following more fellow Canadian knitters!
Welcome 🤗 thanks for commenting
New subscriber here! POP is definitely in right now. I wasn't a pink person until about late October when a favorite game of mine came out and the protagnist happened to where the most gorgeous pink sweater. But Pink has taken the knitting world by storm over the past 2 months. It's crazy how influentical and fast it's happened. Great episode!
Hello and welcome 🤗 thank you so much for subscribing. And I’m here for the pink and love seeing others knitting with pink 💕
I’m all in for the Summer of POP! Though summmer hasn’t shown up for my part of Alaska.
Hopefully it shows up soon! Could always go for a merino/cotton blend tee for a year round piece 😊
this video's vibe is giving two moms sitting outside by the pool drinking mamosas and chatting about their knitting plans while the kids are in the pool and I'm here for it
Ahh thank you 😊
Hi Paige, now you make me wanna knit a pink top…
Hahahaha….I love these kind of video, like seasonal knits ideas……definitely a tshirt trend going on this season.
Thanks for the support! :) and summer of POP is here! A nice bold pink will always be fun :)
I guess I’m all about the boxy fit at the moment because I am currently knitting the Ecru tee and I have plans to knit the Hortenisa tee when it comes out as well! 😄
Ahh that's amazing! What colour and what yarn? Feel free to send me a photo on instagram, I'd love to see it :)
Hey Paige I'm knitting the Sol Top rn!! its my second garment :) first summer garment. very excited and you're so right about the relax vests ~ there are quite a few. Also personally I'm wearing full underwire bras less and less, as there are pasties or the full sticky cups (although I am only a C cup). Something that really excited me about knitting was that the patterns are more modern and fashion forward, less conservative and a bit sexy. another hot pinky top that I love is The Ada Top by Sofia Daniel ♥ if anyone like me reads this comment defs check it out
Ooh that’s so fun! And I’ve been curious to try the sticky cups myself but haven’t been sure where to order them from. The Ada Top looks very European Summer! So cute and love the back
@@theknittingpaige thank you for your reply
@@charmayd I need to go to the big box craft store for some elastic and hopefully some clips to convert straps so I’ll check out the stores that sell undergarments and hopefully can find some 😊
@@theknittingpaige awesome! yeah why not :) they're worth a try at least~
Great video, fun to see how the knitting world is influenced ☺️💕 Also a new subscriber, I live in Norway
Welcome 🤗 thanks for the support 💕 it means a lot!
I agree with your observations! Wearing my Alice top as I watch!
Amazing! The Alice top was such a fun knit. I know I definitely plan on making another one maybe in pink 🤷♀️
@@theknittingpaigeI used shocking pink in Tykk line. Also check the Florina tee
Great video. Pink is always in my top summer color. Pop rocks.
Thank you 😊 and who doesn’t love a great pink?!
