I don’t know how you guys find a 5 star read every month. It takes me forever to find a 5 stars
I usually have 2-3 5⭐️ per month 😂
So relatable. I get like 2-4 five star reads a year. I've only had one so far so we're in the same ballpark. I guess we're much harsher than they are.😅
I feel like the more I've gotten to know my taste in books the better I am at knowing which books are potential 5 stars.
@Pelinlovestoread exactly! I've honed in on my taste so I never read books lower than 3stars and I get plenty of 4 and 5s 🎉

I just read Happy Place for the first time (it was also my first Emily Henry read). I figured I would enjoy it enough as a cute little romance BUT it was so much more than that. It is honestly such a simple, yet reflective story of friendship and self-discovery. Also, I agree... there are some truly heart wrenching quotes in there.

I definitely recommend The women by Kristin Hannah. It’s war, trauma, love, PTSD portrayed, true friends that are forged in fire, literally. I felt the historical aspect of the war was so sad but true. Definitely must read.

I just finished 'Not In Love' by Ali Hazelwood and i fell IN LOVE with with Eli and Rue, i do agree how Eli was there what Rue needed and treated her good, i want a second book about them (iknow we are not) but i did give it a 4 star. didn't disappoint

An ember in the ashes series becomes more interesting and loveable when you reach book 3. I personally loved books 3 & 4 more than 1 & 2. So I hope you continue with the series and enjoy overall 🥰

The Fourwinds by Kristin Hannah is so great!! the middle of it dragged on a little bit, but the character development and the love that you have with the characters just fill your heart to bursting so I highly recommend it. There’s authors note afterwards, and an interview with the author as well.

I completely agree about leather and lark. It felt more rushed. Not as much tension and build up. There also wasn’t as much detail as B&B. Like how we got a paragraph explaining how Lark and Lachlan just talked. Just a couple of sentences saying they talked all night without knowing what they talked about. Where with Rowan and Sloane we got to experience those little moments with them. Like when Rowan found out what type of books Sloane likes to read and teased her about it. I also wished we saw more of Larks “multiple deleter” scenes.

i just finished happy place and omg i feel the exact same way!! i fell in love with the characters and related with harriet SO MUCH as well. definitely highlighted/underlined a ton too. i had no clue they are making a tv series but that it so exciting!!

I read the "an ember in the ashes" series but the very last book and while I was reading the books I never gave any of the books a higher raiting than 4.25* I think.. BUT it's been years that I read that series and I CANT STOP THINKING ABOUT IT. the more time passes by, the more often I think about the books and these characters and now I can't even finish the last book cause im scared what's gonna happen and also cause I don't wanna say good bye to this world and these characters.. sooo I think it did turn into one of my fave series even tho I didn't give these books 5 stars right away.

I just realized I read the summer after you and me and I do have to admit I didn't get it at first either but I think it's not entirely about the second chance romance but more so about the main character finding herself and friendship while along with everything else that's going on around her!
