I'll say. Have you read the book 666 Mark of the Beast by Bullock and Davies? It's a thriller about the Devil rising to power in Europe. He pays a team to drill the fault line of La Palma, the island falls into Atlantic to cause a tsunami. Please read the book if you can. It's supposed to be fiction.
A hangnail would be of more concern than a "crack" in a cinder cone. A cinder cone is made of unconsolidated tephra. It isn't a structural part of the island. But if that's what rings your worry bell, then ding away.
When you see that much volcanic gas, (The "white ash" as you call it) just know that the lava is flowing down those tubes and emerging anywhere it needs to. The shallow quakes are more lava coming into the cone, the deeper ones recharging the magma chamber far down below.
I applaud you BB for your constant and beautiful report about the volcanic eruptions and how you are bringing so many people together, sharing their thoughts, prayers and the feeling of togetherness... just what we are all needing for all of humanity at this time. God bless with love.

The cracked part of the wall of the cone probably will collapse as seen when the cone was smaller. By itself, it wouldn't be a concern, but after collapsing, the changed shape of the cone walls could possibly mean that lava flows could be directed in different directions. Granted they would all flow down hill, but the angle could be different and effect new areas. That's what is concerning to me. As far as feeling the quake seemed stronger, the shallower depth may have played a role.

I think cracks along the ridge lines to the east would be more worrisome, has anyone investigated that? There are major forces at work here, and the attention is focused on the cone, what about the rest of the island?

There is a Volcano in Mexico that is like Cumbre Veija. You should read about it. It had a large eruption in 1982. It has had 4.0 earthquakes recently. You are not alone in your experience.

Seems like the Volcano is emptying and then filling back up.
