    Let me get this straight. The wood got warped and made it difficult to move a piece and since Chris didn't want to force anything he needed to get help to understand how to proceed? What the? That's terrible!! I'd be totally annoyed if I paid hundreds for a puzzle with a defect like that. Reaction from Chris: "Oh well. It's nobody's fault!?" Everyone in the comments: "Cool puzzle!"

    • @ramenboii978
      @ramenboii978 18 дней назад

      @@ricktube221 agreed. not worth the price of $400+ if a defect could happen as easily as that. plus, it looked like the tools were too small and made the whole puzzle difficult to handle as well.

    It's such a shame that builders sometimes think of aesthetics instead of functionality. The wood was a problem that made them extra money and made the puzzle more beautiful.... But wasn't needed. It nearly broke it.

    Spoilers ahead: This puzzle seemed like a big mess, as if nothing was working properly. So much of this was so difficult for you to manage, and even when you were able to pull the lever, and release the gold coins, it didn't show a jackpot reading on the panel, which I thought it should've.

    The glass being the last moving part of the puzzle as all the other parts moved really just pushed a mini scale in position to catch the glass and add weight to open the trap door 😅

    He should have made that longer screw from the handle go into the light, poking through the metal plate that lifted-up... So screwing the light back in, it would protrude and unlock the "slide" ability of the light or some other new step. (Unless that wasn't actually intended to come out of the handle.)
    He could have also made the handle press into the bushing, so it pushes a bearing in the bushing. That could have added another step. I think the logo was there, intentionally, to make you think, "I gotta remove this handle, so it doesn't keep hitting the logo." Though he should have purposely made the logo protrude more, so it impeded the lever from spinning around completely, for a more obvious "I must remove this".
    That's the biggest flaw in most wooden "slide" puzzle-boxes. Humidity expansion and contraction. Too much humidity and it locks things in place, too little humidity and it exposes all the "loose" things. That's why they invented plastic and wood-oils and wood-waxes and leaf-springs, to help keep things tight, but still be movable. V2 Will be better, I am sure. This one looked fun, to watch it make you go mad!

    i was hoping that after you solved it and put it back together, you could somehow pulled the lever and have the slots "spin" like a real mechanical slot machine. Have no idea how that would ever be possible, so not surprised it didnt happen, but would have been really cool. Solving the puzzle would turn the box into a "working" slot machine.

    in that when it breaks, you sometimes want to tear that product apart and try to fix it. But it generally goes just like this. Just when you think you have all the nuts and bolts off, you forgot one hidden bolt or didn’t disassemble another necessary part first.
