Abandon biting her fingers is what literally a lot of people have been saying on how to counter the Lock Jaw, haha!! Not a fan of the ending but it is what it is. Britt is a fighting champion who despite interference, is willing to take hits and bumps proving that she gets the job done🦷
Same the ending kinda took me out of it , but this was pretty hard hitting. that curb stomp was pretty cool too.
If it's actually applied you lock the mandibular nerve and they can't bite down that's part of the reason you wear gloves to ease the actual pain
But if you're actually doing that for real to somebody you can't bite down because she's hitting the nerve that prevents you from biting down and it prevents you from swallowing so you're choking
And plus Britts a heel so this is a decent finish to a match we all thought she was going to lose

AEW is an expert in making people look incredibly strong in defeat. I just watched a match on Dark in which a debuting wrestler gave Red Velvet a run for her money. People who do the job rarely just get crushed and that's it.

I love how the commentators have their own rivalries in AEW lol. This match was very brutal and disturbing. But not in a bad way. Abadon really had Dr. Britt Baker lose. She was extremely motivated. Let's see what the future holds for her.

@@mthompson3509 they literally had to edit this match to bits because of how bad it was during tapings. That was why there were so many commercials and no picture in picture. Like, I try not to be a downer on any wrestler because it is a *hard* profession. The blame isn't on Abadon as much, it's on Tony for booking her in that match on TV when she's as green as she is.
Enough is Enough! After this kind of performance, Abadon needs to get a monster push.

I want to see a promo where the camera goes backstage where Moxley and Kingston are sitting on a couch just small talking with Abadon sitting in between them not saying a word. They’re arguing about some random shit, then they finally acknowledge Abadon and asks her what she thinks. She screams at them and they just nod their heads in agreement, “So true”. “I never thought about like that.”
It feels like that bit would only work with those three.

Soo true. We all knew Baker might win and would put on a show but we were all wondering what Abadons performance would be like. I knew Abadon would do well but her performance exceeded my expectations to the point where there could be a real feud storyline between them. Kudos to the women's division. This match is second to rosa vs baker in AEW.

I enjoyed this match more than any of Britt's others, despite the lame ending. Would love a feud between these two. I see real parallels that remind me of Mankind vs The Rock, as in one is a twisted hardcore underdog and the other is the attractive, cocky champion.
Love the booking of this, made abadon look very strong because dmd could only get the most devastating finishing move in all of sports entertainment the surprise roll up pinfall!!

True that, and without sarcasm as well. Even though it was a no DQ hardcore match, there was really no way they could end it other than with Britt winning off a technical pin- Abadon is just too unstoppable to be pinned (she's been pinned before, but in this match she stood up from a chair-assisted curb stomp and then _chewed_ her way out of the Lockjaw _with a mouth full of thumbtacks_ so...) and too insane to submit, and having her _win_ would mean the champion got pinned in a match that was effectively a 1v3 because of Rebel and Hayter. Everything else having failed, having Britt fall back on the roll-up for 3 as a last resort just makes her look smart enough to keep her head despite how freaked out she is and be able to take the only way out.

The rollup finish made me laugh. Everything beforehand looked so painful then this was the most gentle roll up i've seen in awhile.

I swear abbadons character is legit terifying really well presented the way she moves the faces just make you feel uncomfortable, and the whole idestructable gimmick after the chair spot and throughout the match just adds to her whole super natural element really good match

Their women's roster is actually sizable/diverse (in case you meant it the physical way). It's just that TK focuses on some women on TV more than others.

Abadon is scarier than anything in any horror movie I have ever watched in my life.
DMD and Abadon have great chemistry- AEW should develop a storyline with those two. This was a good match- the only problem I had is that if it's called a trick-or-treat match then there should be more Halloween-themed items in addition to the tables, chairs and even the tacks made available.

The pins designed like spiders would have been cool. A witches broom, horror movie weapons, Freddy claws, fake/toy Myers butcher knife etc, Chucky doll. candy and apples, a dunk barrel would make some great drowning teases, trap door, flickering lights, lumberjack style ghosts and ghouls, so much they could have done with this!!
