This is Over 12 hrs of work to remove this Black #BoxColor
@blogilates has been coloring her own hair for over 3 years with layers upon layers of black box color. #ParanormalHairtitvity
It’s not easy to get her hair brown when there’s black box dye.
So I did 3 rounds of color removers. Each round took an hour each and waiting for her hair to turn to a level 4.
After that I apply #GuyTang #Mydentity #Magnum8 with 10vol with @olaplex No1 on to her ends to remove the residual dyes in her ends to remove as much of the color as possible.
After that I apply @guytang_mydentity
1️⃣55g 5BB + 15g 8BB with 10vol on rootàge
2️⃣30g 5BB + 30g 8BB on mids and ends
All with #olaplex no1 and GuyTang #MyHero Collagen Powder
And one final step left is to glaze.
I use GuyTang Mydentity Demi Color.
1️⃣40g 7Bb + 20g Wicked Shadow7 with 6vol on rootàge
2️⃣7Bb with 6vol on midshaft
3️⃣20g 7Bb + 20g 9Bb with 6Vol on ends
Treat with #Olaplex no2
Shampoo and Condition with GuyTang #MyHero Nourishing system.
Spray #MyHero leave collagen repair and leave in creme.
Blow dry and style and used #MyControl hair spray for hold and style.
I also shaped up her hair cut.

I love how this stylist didn't mock her or fun of her for the box dye, that is the #1 reason why I won't go to a stylist anymore, most of them are so mean 😢

3 years ago means she probably started getting box dye when salons shut down and wasn't able to go to her stylist - fairly sure a lot of people did the same.

No the black is flat and doesn't have shine. Even naturally black hair has different shades of brown and even red in it, which a black box dye can never match.
The black hair really swallows up her brightness imo
I think the brown hair goes better with her skin tone than the black. What might make it seem off in the end is the black outfit. Its too cool toned

Natural, healthy black hair is gorgeous. But she's been dyeing it. Not only does it look like he helped to begin the process of body restoration to her hair, but he removed the heaviness of the depressing black color the box dye was given. Win, win. I love seeing the results of a professional hand.
I like both a lot!! I love the feel of black hair by my personal taste, but the brown on her gives a very warm and soft, 2000s throwback feel to me.

Same. Always liked the 'Snow White' look. Have been dying my ashy blonde hair black, since I was a teen. I think it suits me better, than my boring, nondescript natural hair color. I tried going brown for a bit, a while back, but a hard, even bluish black really looks better on me.

I love black on her more but the coloring job on that brown honestly slayed.
Personally, I think that brown is a little too warm for you, a cool brown like his hair looks better on you in comparison. But I know why more red pigments were necessary since after bleaching, the hair get a green tint to it if put brown without red pigment.I hope that after 3rd or 4th time coloring it you get the right color that flatter you skin tone👍
Yeah, there is so much black dye and warmth of natural dark brown/ brown / black hair to begin with, there’s no way she could go co toned. I think the results are gorgeous, and Guy really did his thing!

@@janesays1278 Would toner not have helped? I'm not super experienced with hair dye, but I thought that was what that product is for - to colour correct unwanted undertones?
I was trying to pinpoint why I liked the color but not necessarily on /her/ 😂 not that it looks bad but you’re right, I think if she eventually goes for a cooler tone it would work better with her complexion!!

It's oddly fascinating to watch these hair transformations. Though I happily haven't dyed or bleach my hair in over 2 decades, I would definitely allow you to do so. Every hair style/color you produce is absolutely beautiful. 😊
My hair turned that orange when I bleached my box dye at the salon and we just ended up going bright orange instead of toning it and I was IN LOVE with the colour, best spur of the moment decision ever :P

It might have been a bit gray. That's the main reason women DIY their own dark hair dye because it covers the best without professional help. No shade because I have had gray hairs since my mid 20s. I assume black would have been closest to her natural hair colour but this looks lovely too.

been dying my hair box black for over 10 years. I’ve been 80% gray for a while. I picked up the wrong box in a different brand. I ended up with reddish brown highlights where my gray is Within two boxes my hair was brown. I don’t understand it but I’m grateful for it.
